Wait SZA features on this!? One of my absolute FAVOURITE artists so I hope this makes her more known. I need to listen to it but I'm away until the weekend :(

The numerous delays, the contrast of singles and various scrapped songs all makes sense now. Rihanna's "Anti" is the tale of two albums, an attempt by an ever-growing artist to marry the two sides of her musical personality with, at times, mesmerizing results.

 

The first half of "Anti" – leaked and released as a "surprise" album this week – finds Rihanna in "B***h Better Have My Money" mode. Though, interestingly, that song didn't make the cut for the album.

"first half"? does this person know some information we don't? not getting my hopes up as i am more than content with having possibly her best album yet given to us today but imagine if she drops another album too :drama:

I've been reading about that as well and it really confused me. I'm not getting my hopes up for anything more than this, but one can't help but wonder. I was only kidding when I said the buzzalbum would come out soon, but if it turns out to be true :lol:

Nooo, he just means the first half of the tracklist sounds different from the second half. I read that as the first half having the atmosphere of BBHMM and the second half having the atmosphere of FourFiveSeconds (despite neither of those being on the album).

Yeah, I Said It and Kiss It Better are so good! The first 2 tracks are a bit crap

I think they mean the first half of the album, because it's quite urban with Work and Consideration for example!

Yeah I agree, the dashes in the middle of a sentence should be treated as brackets. He means:

Why did she bother sampling Florence simply for an interlude which she doesn't even have any vocals herself? :lol: Pose is terrible and Sex with Me is ok.

It still implies there's R9 coming as the whole album 'leaked' (besides the bonus tracks). And by leak, we mean deliberately put online.

Apparently Florence changed her mind on letting her use it for a whole song and that's why 'A Night' was not on the tracklist with Rihanna vocals.

Surprisingly not shit :') Much more cohesive than the last couple of albums, actually a fair bit to enjoy :o Some rubbish on there but nowhere near as much as I expected after this mess of a campaign. Well done RiRi.

okay, this album might not be as bad as i thought it was this morning after a hasty first listen. some production on this bitch is fabulous. and it's a lot more cohesive than i thought at first! the songs flow into each other so well.

Only one listen in and it's already easily her second best album at least.

Head and shoulders above everything everything other than 'Rated R'. I can easily see it rivalling that too. So worth the wait.
