This is out properly on December 4th, but Tidal on Friday! And yeah I'm not convinced about commercial success here, FFS was a bit of a fluke I think? I thought she still has immense power getting that as a hit but BBHMM and of course American Oxygen didn't catch on at all. I'm glad it's happening and whilst I do actually quite like FFS I have no hope or excitement for this.

I think everybody needs to calm down! 'FourFiveSeconds' was a big international hit at the start of the year. OK, 'Bitch Better Have My Money' flopped and as for 'American Oxygen' well, it feels GENEROUS to call that a flop. OK, this is not going to be Rihanna's biggest era and it probably isn't going to be her finest either but let's not start saying things like she's thrown her career away for goodness sake! She's a smart woman, I'm sure she knows what she's doing. And if she doesn't well at least we've got 'Loud'.

She needs to press the reset button. Get rid of the previous material and gives a brand new amazing 1st single to get people hyped again.

Thing is, she's sort of got to push forward with this era, even if it's a flop, before deciding to swiftly move on, as it's been hyped up so much. To throw it away now would seem crazy.

 

Every superstar is allowed a blip, and if this is hers then hopefully it'll push her to come back with something better next time.

 

I've always wanted to see her live but definitely need to hear ANTI first, if it's terrible then I'll wait until the next era.

The only song I've not really "felt" this era is 'American Oxygen' tbh. Everything else has been stellar and BBHMM seems like it was a much bigger hit than it actually was. The cultural impact of that song is insane. Everyone seems to know it and most people seem to think fondly of it. It really deserved to be a lot bigger. Amazing song.

 

I'm so pumped for this album, although I get why most people might not be feeling it as much.

I don't really understand the whole antidiary thing though haha, doesn't really seem to lead anywhere. Think it would be best to just officially confirm the release date now if it is actually Friday...
