also it's occurred to me that i'm really sad james joint is called james joint and not james blunt.

omg

Loving this album! I'm so happy it's actually good <3 This one feels like her most personal yet and I think it's obvious that this is the album she's been trying to make for a while now with TTT & Unapologetic, which were extremely hit & miss and just flopped in actually delivering the goods (at least for me). But this is an actual work of art and it's one of those album I can listen to from start to finish with no interruptions/skips.

'Kiss It Better' is possibly one of the best things she has done! Or at least since the 'Rated R' era?

The album is really fantastic I have decided. The reason I think I love it so much is because it's in a similar style (both lyrically and musically) to 'Rehab' which is my #1 Rihanna song, and the song/style i've felt she has always excelled most at. While nothing is quite as good as 'Rehab' the entire album is basically a continuation and development of that sound. So many tracks are growers and the bonus tracks aren't really as bad as everyone is making out Lol.

I see what you mean. 'Desperado' in particular is very Justin and Timbaland!

I don't really hear that. I think 'Rehab' is VERY Timbaland like anything 'Loose' and 'Futuresex' but I don't hear that on this album. Not even on the Timbaland produced 'Yeah, I Said It'.

I think ANTI is more a continuation of songs like 'Numb' and 'Loveeeeee Song' if anything.

#4 in the midweeks.

I'd call that quite a success already, given all the circumstances

I actually thought it would be higher tbh. Although I am surprised that 'Work' has held up at #3.

Hopefully she can overtake Charlie Puth by Friday, that'd be a bit tragic  But yeah it's doing well as it was out free, that has probably taken some casual fans' sales away as if they got it free they may not be motivated to buy it.

Okay so ANTI >>> Rated R >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> everything else.

It's doing better than I thought it might've done chartwise! I'll be getting the physical on Friday – like Aly says, might be the same for quite a few people.

same, will definitely be getting a vinyl of this next week. one of her best if not THE. LOUD will always be up here as my fav but after a couple of days this is shaping up to replace. LOUD's true power has been the nostalgia factor of that 2010xmas which thinking of it being 6 years ago makes me CHOKEEJEEE
I'll be getting it on firday as well. just need to figure out which stores will be the cheapest :kink:
OK Cremey calm down, the album is good but better than Rated R? Not sure you'll still be saying that in a few years when the dust settles on this album and you compare then but who knows. I mean COME ON that's not only the best Rihanna album, but one of the greatest albums ever! -_-
Rated R isn't as good as y'all are making it out to be tho

Enit! It's like her worst album post-the first two, so messy and stuff like Rockstar 101, Photographs and G4L exist because of it

Haha that may well be the case, Haus, but right now I really do think I'll end up loving this more in the long run too.

I've always loved 'Rated R' but it would be so much better without 'Stupid in Love' and 'Rockstar 101' – those two really ruin a near perfect album for me </3

'G4L' is amaze tho...

Eek. I don't know where 'ANTi' fits for me atm. Probably 4th behind 'LOUD', 'Rated R' & 'Good Girl Gone Bad'. Just for the fact that, barring 'Kiss It Better', it doesn't have as many highs for me. As a cohesive piece of work though... it reigns above all of them.
