New song being released on August 26th. It's for the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which is out at the end of November.

Clue: Coldplay are a british band who have had many hits, Viva La Vida being one. Viva La Vida knocked Singin' In The Rain off the top spot. Can you remember which dancer turned "popstar" brought this song back to prominence?

Argh! So excited about this. I love Coldplay, so it will be interesting to see what they come up with!
Those lyrics look very Paradise-esque. Which should be a good thing. Excellent choice for a soundtrack band, it looks like Hunger Games is on a roll to repeat the strengths of the first soundtrack.

I thought it would be "Paradise"-esque just from the title/knowing it's from a soundtrack  I'm looking forward to new music from them, but this probably means that another album is even further away :(

This situation reminds me of when Muse recorded a song for the Twilight movie - in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it even ending up sounding quite similar to Neutron Star Collision, with more of a Coldplay feel to it. Either way, EXCITE etc., makes me even more excited for the film.

It'll take a lot of growing, after a couple of listens I think it's pretty dull although it does build a bit. :( Should go with the movie though.

Yeah this is really nothing special. A shame.
That is probably gonna grow quite well. Some depths in there certainly, perhaps not their best but it definitely has potential. Not quite what I expected but all the Hunger Games songs seem to have that sort of sound to them which is really good thematically.
I'm probably the only person in the world who loves this but there you go. Very haunting/authentic and definitely their most experimental single release to date.
Wasn't impressed at first but after a few listens I love it. Preferring the verses to the 'Carry your world' chorus but it's great
It's...understated, that's for sure and definitely doesn't sound like anything from their last album, but I don't really think much of it on first listen :( I'm not gonna worry though as it is just a soundtrack single. It does also sound like the sort of song that's more of a grower.
