The sales will count. People here even discussed if PAradise should have its pre-order sales added on retrospectively in light of the new rule, but obv. didn't happen.

If the rule hadn't changed, 'Mirrors' would not be #1. You don't need a source. 'Applause' will show up soon enough, calm your tits.

Weird that when you search Lady Gaga on iTunes store the Artpop doesn't even show up, Didn't something similar happen to Roar single pre order when it first went up?
