Seems like we are the only country without Roar! Come on Katy. Lets hope its next week :)

That's what I hope too!

I wonder if she is big enough in the UK to get to number 1 though. That would be amazing

We are not getting Roar until September 8th :) So unless something else is coming out on that day to challenge her then i think we are all good :)

I think she can, if she does, the releases schedule for next week is nothing to worry about, and I am assuming monsters have been behind the driving sale of Gaga so far and I don't think the general public support will be enough to get applause to the top spot next week.

yeah i know it kinda sucks, but im happy to wait for it!

I think Roar will be released before September 8 due to high demand for the song, anyway I hope it's not out this or next week so that it doesn't stop Sonnentanz from going to #1
In non GaGa news Paramore Ain't It Fun is now at #103 :cheer:

This is blatantly going to be bigger than Poker Face or Blurred Lines.

I can't handle all this chart activity :drama: Mel C and Matt Cardle to slay everyone next week though please :kink:

It's funny some haters on here are doubting 'Applause' having a chance next week and the general public wanting to buy it. So many people I know who don't like Gaga, actually LOVE the song and the music video is going to help a lot. Ellie is quite frontloaded, her sales next week are not going to be unbeatable by any means and let's face it 'Sonnentanz' isn't going to be huge, there's not really hype behind it at all. 'Applause' however will be increasing next week with the music video, so logically it is going to be the likely #1 contender.

A 'Telephone' Pt 2 type video would be so perfect!

I've just heard 'Roar' - really disappointed. :( Was hoping for another 'Teenage Dream' or 'E.T.' For all the hype, I don't think GaGa and Katy have delivered with these releases. :drama:

Hopefully Beyonce will live up to expectations and bring the goods. Every one of her lead singles so far have been amazing.

Don't you mean 'Paparazzi Pt 3'?

I think Roar will be a number one, the record company won't wait until September I was thinking August 25th would be a good week to release so the number ones would go like this:

18/08 - Ellie Goulding

25/08 - Klangkarussell/Will Heard

01/09 - Katy Perry

I do like Roar, its grown on me and is better than I was expecting!

I am not sure what effect the video will have with applause, it didn't exactly help BTW did it.

 13. Blurred Lines

:party2:

I think Born This Way, Judas and The Edge of Glory all had big boosts from their videos, you can see it in the chart runs, so that might happen again.

I am not sure what effect the video will have with applause, it didn't exactly help BTW did it.

The difference between Born this way and Applause is that the video for Applause is being released in less than a week from the release of the song itself. With Born this way the video came out only 2 weeks after the release of the song

Katy release ROAR noww!!!!

I don't think we should wish that, we can't cope with more clap trap -_-
