Yes -_- At least with Born This Way missing #1 we had the excuse of it being released on a Friday, but if Applause misses #1 with 5 days of sales (3 more than BTW had!) then that is the beginning of the end of GaGa's career :(

He's right :(

I know she's not as relevant/ in as good a position as she was releasing BTW, but she needs to do it! If Rihanna could and over 1D and on one day less of sales, then GaGa has to too.

How many hours did it take BTW to smash to #1?

I thought this would never happen :drama:

It's sad that Lady Gaga knocked this out the top 10. But I don't care, she could never dream of getting a hit that big.

Nah, Kerry Katona OD'd and was dead for 15 minutes. "Whole Again" was resurging, on its way for that million seller - when Kerry revived at the scene. As soon as that news struck the saddened masses people stopped buying it.

Yep, because everything in the Top 5 is SO something hipsters would dig :D

Well she did it twice already

Livehits is showing it as #1 now?

When someone mentions LIVEHITS (i.e. the site that was proven long ago to be made up) you know it's time to start bombing the thread.

I don't know why I made myself read through the last couple of pages.

Well she did it twice already

'Bad Romance' and 'Poker Face' I am assuming you are referring to? Neither have been as big as 'Blurred Lines'.

I actually feel bad for The Wanted, it was good of them to try something new by releasing on air / on sale, but I think they've just killed their entire album campaign! ' We Own The Night ' is already easily my second favourite Wanted song, it might overtake ' Glad You Came ' but a peak of #9-11 is looking likely with one week in the top 10 :drama:

I'm not sure if Gaga will even make the top 3 now this week, hopefully not so Miley doesn't have a drop of 1-4.

And Bad Romance was a massive cultural hit ala Spice Up Your Life.

The sales of Poker Face aren't far off that of Blurred Lines really.

The delusion is unbearable.

Please don't, Eric will only go on a huge rant how Lady GaGa only ever produced basic songs and Robin Thicke is the music equivalent to Jesus :(.

It depends on How you measure it?

Weeks in the top 10, total sales etc?

Bad Romance is a very well thought of Gaga single actually - plus why use Spice Up Your Life as a 'cultural hit'? Strange.

Just Dance is her second biggest seller so I assumed those 2.

No, her biggest sellers are Poker Face and Bad Romance (UK wise of course).

I always thought Just Dance and Poker Face passed 1 million like the year of release, with Bad Romance still being a little shy.

Nope it's the third in the UK as far as I know.

Anyway I don't want to defend Gaga at all, cause I don't care. It's just annoying when someone hates an artists and states false facts. :)

Nope, Just Dance was last confirmed at under 940k and Bad Romance at 990k. Poker Face was a million seller in 2010 I think but is her best seller easily.

This thread may help you with million sellers: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=147288

From 25th May to 13th August without dropping out of the top 10 once! We probably wont see another song like this ever again.

I am not sure about whether it was continuously top 10 but 'Let Her Go' was in the daily iTunes top 10 every day from 25th April to 6th August, I believe.
