BUT they had a semi hit with "Wings" (by that I mean the song achieved absolutely nothing, but was heavily used on adverts and stuff). Did they even put a single out in the US before "Salute"?! I expected a #9 debut and a big drop.

i think its fair to say Wings was a good success in America for them, selling more than any other song by them in any country, they also did not do major promotion except for a radio tour. Going Gold is a big achievment in America, especially by X Factor standards.

Great performances! Jade really is a star. (That's probably the millionth time I've said this, but I find myself just being drawn to her all the time lol.)

It's just the way they come across and Jade seemed a bit miserable (or was it because Jesy was more buzzing, I don't know) :lol:

 

Although it is interesting how Perrie goes quiet at any mention of boyfriends!

It has matched the T40 & T75 longevity of 'DNA' (Album) and extremely likely to pass it next week! Brilliant news. A shame that the sales are as awful as they are atm :(

Salute album sales are well short of DNA (unfortunately i might add) as they now are 251,000, DNA is 340,000, i can not see salute outselling DNA,for now, platinum is the goal for Salute.

It's a shame we couldn't have got another single, instead of Word Up. It wouldn't have gotten it to 341k obviously but it would've boosted sales more so than Word Up did. And this album has so many hits on it, it seems a shame that it's all stopping at 3.

Yep. Pretty much. They said they were "excited to show the final chapter of this era" when premiering the video for 'Salute' or something. :(

 

'Towers' or 'These Four Walls' would have been brilliant "album sellers" imo. :(

These Four Walls would make a great single, and would certainly sell the album.
