August 19, 201312 yr Author Note - all references in this post relate to the Top 75 only "Chasing Cars" racks up it's 109th week in the Top 75, now just 15 behind "My Way" 161 weeks in the top 100, so it's racked up exactly a year between 76 and 100. It and 'Fairytale Of New York' must hold the record for charting in the top 75 at least once for the most consecutive calendar years - they're now joint again on 8 each, 'Fairytale Of New York' 05-12 and 'Chasing Cars' 06-13 but The Pogues will pull ahead again at the end of the year.
August 19, 201312 yr Note - all references in this post relate to the Top 75 only "Chasing Cars" racks up it's 109th week in the Top 75, now just 15 behind "My Way" But only 42 weeks top 50 (If I've counted correctly from Polyhex) which was the chart size when 'My Way' was around, which really puts it in perspective what an incredible run it had. Edit: Of course CC would have had 9 more weeks top 50 had it not been deleted due to the crazy chart rules of the time. Edited August 19, 201312 yr by Col1967

August 19, 201312 yr Leona out due to being back to 99p :( It was her longest run at being 59p though, so I'm really happy. It also helped to add 16k+ to the total sales of "Run" as well. Hope another one of her songs gets reduced to 59p. Would love it if "Happy" or "Better In Time" we reduced to 59p then spammed as music for X-factor or something :kink:
August 20, 201312 yr I think that the whole Top 10 of Longest running entries (Albums) will be steady for a long time.. On the other hand, i think that "22" will be out the next week.. :( Could you tell me Brett which song will replace 22..? Edited August 20, 201312 yr by Escapar82
August 20, 201312 yr But only 42 weeks top 50 (If I've counted correctly from Polyhex) which was the chart size when 'My Way' was around, which really puts it in perspective what an incredible run it had. Edit: Of course CC would have had 9 more weeks top 50 had it not been deleted due to the crazy chart rules of the time. Agreed on the 42 weeks top 50, making it joint 14th in that category. Of recent tunes, "Sex On Fire" is the highest with 54 weeks, 6th all-time, one week and one position ahead of "Someone Like You". Two of "My Way"'s weeks were in the Top 75 era, one of which was in the Top 50.
August 20, 201312 yr Author Forgot to post this earlier, 'A Thousand Years' has reached 52 weeks in the top 100 to match the total of 'Jar Of Hearts', so both of Christina Perri's top 100 hits have spent (exactly) a year in the chart, while 'Arms' missed the top 100 entirely. It seems weird that 'A Thousand Years' will almost certainly overtake the top 100 longevity of 'Jar Of Hearts' this week, but it's just almost refused to leave the top 100 since the last Twilight film came out! In just top 75 terms though 'Jar Of Hearts' is still some way ahead, 46 weeks top 75 compared to 38 for 'A Thousand Years'. And of course its actual sales are also still a lot higher.

August 22, 201312 yr Author Oh I don't use the same year boundaries as the OCC in my spreadsheets hence the Pogues confusion! I suppose officially they do have a 2013 chart week (although this won't matter later anyway as it'll definitely re-enter again in a couple of months). Also was gonna say 'Sex On Fire' should have a 2013 week but that's again me confusing my spreadsheet with the 'official' stats as it has a 2013 peak of #81. Thanks for the list by the way!

It looks like the reduction doesn't help her anymore.
