Just had a sneak look at the new Irish charts and Matt has done well there in the past but the album is only number 75 this week
I'm a bit gutted that this might slip out of top 10 now, it's his best album to date and deserves a lot more recognition than it's getting at the mo!
It's still a fantastic result. Still peaking higher than Alexandra Burke's second album.
Disappointed with opening sales of less than 7,000 especially as the fire sold in or around 10,000 more, the fire has managed almost 55,000 sales with a strong debut week so i think porcelain could really struggle to sell 30,000 if it falls fast especially this coming week.
The mid week news is just terrible and so not deserved for such an excellent album.
He's need a single now that'll boost it otherwise....

I may be alone in saying this but I do think this is a rather good album :)

I even bought Matt's book in a 99p store the other day :L

I don't see how you can be alone, when everyone who posseses the album that has posted in this thread agrees with you.

Did you even read any posts in this thread before posting?

I think he should be pushing other songs now rather than LY
I really hope the under-performance of this album doesn't signal the end of his career. I don't even know what he can do to turn things around!

Pleanty of artists continue to release music even though its not successful, Matt's no different.

Why? The public seem to have connected with it, it makes sense to promote the only "hit" from the album.

Matt will release more albums, he will make money from touring which he will probably use to fund his next album.
I hope that does happen, he has made 3 great albums and im certainly willing to purchase a 4th album so i hope we do get it at home stage. I just wonder what Matt can do to turn it around, i really thought the success of loving you and some good reviews for the album that it would do as well as the fire did in terms of sales but it appears it will fall well short. He needs some performances on some big shows to get decent sales boosts.
