It's so Christmassy and festive and lovely :wub: I think 'Wrapped In Red' is cute but I wish she would just push 'Underneath The Tree' again because that needs to be a hit that we repeat at Christmas every year.

We're talking about the one that's still relevant worldwide... sold 25 million albums, has 6 top 3 Billboard 200 albums, 3 Billboard hot 100 #1's, won Grammy's etc.. That one ;) Besides, Under The Tree got top 30 here with just radio play. That's pretty impressive for a Christmas song.
October 6, 201410 yr Yeah, yeah :P But Leona's album was still better, with a more ... unique sound, very motown/ blues, which was quite mm strange for an Xmas album. It was the only one (along with Celtic Woman) I'd listen to, whereas the other Xmas albums of the season (so many, we were spoiled!!) lacked that distinctive quality. I mean, look at how many Screech :puke: (omg SCREEEECH! :puke: ) sold and it was SHIT. Quality doesn't always mean sales quantity.

I personally think Kelly's is better.. just because it seems like more thought went into it. She was very passionate about it, something she'd wanted to do for a long time and there's more originals. Plus, and it all feels very Christmassy.
October 6, 201410 yr For me, it was all about Leona's because of the originality of the covers, even if there are fewer originals, and One More Sleep is a classic! The tracks are different, mo-town, and don;t blend into one like Kelly's have a tendency to do, and because it's mo-town there's less need for cheesy bells, etc. However, saying that, I am completely behind Kelly grabbin that Xmas IMPACT and releasing Wrapped in Red, it also sounds like a potential classic thanks to being that little bit different.

Although I would prefer 'Winter Dream' as a single. Such a gorgeous, stunning Christmas classic imo. Plus it'd make sense as River visited her, so maybe she'll be used for the "I became we" lyric (I think thats the lyric! Haha) also I think BBC will use the song again as a soundbed so if people realised what it was, then thatd help it become a hit I reckon. :D

October 6, 201410 yr GAH, this thread just made me listen to Underneath The Tree. On October 6th. But, still, probably one of my favourite Christmas songs ever already, although maybe that's because it has the advantage of being new. SO infectious, catchy, cute, festive, everything that a Christmas song should be in my eyes, literally ticks every box. Not sure why I never checked the album out actually... maybe this Christmas!
