well, he said that his lifestyle needs money and with a fortune of 175m he still has only cash reserves for some months (I assume everything else is quite well invested). He could do the risk side alone, if he wants to keep the lifestyle for his family and he might enjoy it either these days. When you count together this years vacations only, and every small bit you can read aside of what you cannot read I understand that he does not want to take risks.

On the other hand, this soft washed Rob is so far away from what I liked and I know that he still has it. But it will be interesting how he will manage the balance

Oh I don't know - I think he still takes plenty of risks. I mean Las Vegas he could have fallen on his arse in a very public way. For me it's the choice of where he's directing his music. He points to Rod Stewart as a direction but Rod is 74. His dad is nearly 80. All the music he listens to in his Instas is young and vibrant but he doesn't appear to want to produce this music. I love the Christmas album. Everything he does is skillfully written, produced and delivered. He's a master at it but the lack of confidence that runs through him is dictating to him to take the middle of the road, cabaret path and that's the bit that loses me. Although he says in that article that he was playing a part when he was younger, I'm not convinced that the family friendly , cabaret Robbie isn't just another part. :) He's a complicated man and there are lots of versions of him. The cabaret version that appears to be prominant at the moment is not my favourite version. I'm still looking for the Liam Gallagher version that was prominent for the first fifteen years. It's still there but for some reason is being channelled elsewhere at the moment. :)

MOVIES - 2020

Meanwhile, industry sources have predicted that musicals could once again trigger another lucrative year ahead, with high-profile singalongs, including Military Wives - featuring new material from Robbie Williams and starring Irish actress Sharon Horgan. Other musical flicks include the big-screen adaptation of Broadway smash-hit In The Heights in August, the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect in August and Stephen Spielberg's highly-anticipated remake of West Side Story in December.

"Despite all the changes to our culture and the nature of entertainment over the last ten years, cinema remains one of our favourite leisure activities. The unique shared viewing experience, made possible by a cinema auditorium, is a massive part of the attraction," Mr Wrixon said.

"Last year was an exceptional year for Irish audiences, with so many sensational stories capturing our imaginations, but we are even more excited about the line-up for 2020 as a magical new decade of movies begins."

I'd forgotten about this. :)

Robbie Williams spends £100,000 on birthday party for mum-in-law. The singer and his former X Factor wife Ayda Field spent months planning for movie producer Gwen’s landmark and flew 60 of her pals to London - she had thought she was going to Paris with mates

The Let Me Entertain You singer and wife Ayda Field spent months planning for Gwen’s landmark and flew 60 of her pals to London. Many came from hometown Los Angeles, and others arrived from Paris, Italy, Canada and Australia. Ayda’s mother thought she was going to Paris with a few close friends from her home in Los Angeles. But when she arrived at London’s Heathrow instead of the French capital - her former home - the movie producer became suspicious. A source revealed: “The story was that Gwen would spend her birthday in her favourite city in the world, Paris, but all her friends were waiting in a London hotel, having been flown in by Ayda for a private party she had been planning for months.

“She and Robbie split their time between their homes in LA and London, but had to be in England for work.“So they decided if they couldn’t be with Gwen on her birthday they would bring Gwen and all her friends to them.“Drinks were flowing and the atmosphere was amazing. Everyone had the best time and Gwen was on really good form, although was a bit overwhelmed by the effort everyone had made to be with her on her special day.” Gwen has lived with Robbie and Ayda on and off since they married in 2010 (Image: Getty)Gwen and a group of friends made the trip to Paris a few days after celebrating in London. Back in October 2018 Gwen, who has lived with Robbie and Ayda on and off since they married in 2010, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Former X Factor judge Ayda has spoken of realising something was wrong just days before the couple attended Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank in 2018, where their daughter Teddy, now 7, was a bridesmaid. Ayda told ITV’s Loose Women: “I had actually seen her hands shake before, I thought she’d been tested for Parkinson’s, she thought she’d been tested for Parkinson’s, it turns out she’d been confused and she’s been tested for rheumatoid arthritis . “I’d written Parkinson’s off as a reality. And then it was about two days before the Royal wedding (Princess Eugenie’s), you know when you have that instinct. “She came into the room and she was talking about what she was going to wear. “I’d seen the hand [shaking] before, something in that moment just did not sit right with me. “I called my doctor, I said: ‘I know she’s not your patient [but] she needs to see a neurologist. “I started talking to my doctor about the things I’d noticed with my mother, she said “I don’t mean to worry you but this sounds like classic Parkinson’s.” Since taking medication to manage the degenerative condition Ayda feels she has got her mum back. The 40-year-old later said: “There’s the dark and the light with every situation. I have such gratitude to have my mother back. She’s come alive, she’s vibrant, she’s with it, she’s alert.”

Forgot to say - I went to the cinema last night and they showed a trailer for Military Wives.

That's the film RW & GC wrote some songs for isn't it?

ROBBIE WILLIAMS is teaming up with Mel B, Cheryl, Sam Smith and Dua Lipa to mark 40 years of the Brits.

It’s only fitting because Robbie, 45, holds the record for the most-ever wins — 18. He will star on ITV show The Brits At 40 to spill his secrets from wild nights out at the music bash over the years. Mick Fleetwood, Little Mix, Dizzee Rascal, Paloma Faith, Sir Tom Jones and Rick Astley will also be chipping in when the programme goes out on February 11.

At first I was excited for this but I've been scarred by that awful Christmas programme.

Can't stand ITV at the best of times. Hope it's good

i never watched the Xmas show ...

Tbh I am sick of hearing the same songs at the live shows , that is why i have not gone to anything for ages, I will do at some stage , hopefully he does another Under The Radar show, I will definitely make the next one .... I like to go to the normal tours less often , then when I do go I really enjoy it as I have not seen him perform for ages so it feels good...

A friend of mine has never missed an Eric Clapton when when he comes to either Ireland or the UK , he goes very single time .

It's just the ITV programmes are always so cheesy and contrived.

I'm hoping there will be lots of archive footage. There have been so many great performances at the Brits over the years.
