We had a round table discussion yesterday about women in leading positions. Women attending have been 35-55, all working full time and also mothers and with or without partner. All of them said that they are very more relaxed having both working and family life. All of them went back to full time work as soon as possible and all of the would not stop working even with a jackpot. Now I think about Ayda who is definitely a smart woman, handsome. I see that she learns Turkish which is great. Aside of this I see her doing sports, sports, sports. I don't know if they have nanny's now, but normally they have helpers. Why can she not do something which is adequate to her smartness? I don't think of a perfume empire or fashion, but social work, or go back working as a lawyer after some refreshers.

I suppose acting is her profession.

It was mentioned a few times she was going to auditions and that is impossible in a pandemic .

It will be interesting to see Ayda's direction once we're all out of lockdown. She has a lot to give I think.

I went back to work part time after I had my kids and then back to full time once they were older. I always considered it the best of both worlds.

Must be as well as. Surely not instead of?

I guess the guys have to make a living, it's a really tough time for musicians out there at the moment ...

It is the best of both worlds Laura . Hopefully when the time is right she will get the opportunity to do it again ..

I hope so - she has a lot to give I think but in a separate professional entity to RW.

This is an interesting article from someone in the know regarding touring prospects

Tour accountant for Robbie Williams, Radiohead and Nick Cave reflects on year without live music

But despite this glimmer of hope for the live music scene, Ade believes global tours could still be another year away.

"Realistically, I don't see international touring happening until next year..."

"People are always asking 'what's happening with work permits and stuff?' And I say, look, I've got an email sent last year which is what the rules are as of today for the 27 countries, which says potentially for every single country we've got to do different things.

That is an interesting read - we forget all about the Brexit implications because we're so caught up in Covid.

Difficult times for all the touring staff.

& given the fact that the entourage with Robbie is quite significant in numbers makes it even more complicated. I still see Vegas being the best option for a while until things settle down

Watched and really enjoyed The Tiger who came to Tea this afternoon with my granddaughter and up popped Robbie singing a song in the middle of it.

Totally forgot he had done that. Made a brilliant story even better.

Interesting books around....

Do you think he is still in Switzerland?

No I don't think so
