Heard Boris tonight talking about outdoor events being allowed once again in the not too distant future so things are looking up ( maybe we will see Robert this side of the pond in the coming months :) ) , however when questioned about risk he also said everyone has to take personal responsibility - so what does that mean :rolleyes:

I think acts who have a younger fanbase will do better initially when gigs are brought back.

 

I think most under 30s won't mind going to a gig but those of a "certain age" might be a bit more reluctant.

In my opinion the best album of 2020 was McCartney's III. So fresh and modern!

 

But this year's release by Sir Paul is also fantastic. It's remixes version of the album.

I think (and I want) Rob could steal this idea for one of his next albums: original LP + remixed LP

Still I do not get that all Rob is delivering to his fans is Ayda's instagram account holiday pictures. It seems that he is doing nothing else than very expensive 19 month holidays. Some time ago he said in an interview that his lifestyle is very expensive and without new things to come he can only afford it for a certain time. Maybe he already received quite some money for the movie to come as it is already sold to distributors. But while most artist somehow show signs of life these days also for the general public from Rob there is nothing.

He must love this life of his.

As a fan or even a person casual interested in his music I would so wish to have an artist back with a real good haircut and nice clothes, good music or at least good stories to tell and some perspective to look forward to. He really starts to become irrelevant and a has been for those who at least liked his music. The last weeks there were many theme days in different TV programs where they show old and new concerts. Rob was always part of it either with RAH or Leeds or Knebworth, nothing anymore while other 'old' artist still are shown (Coldplay). There are more important problems in the world :-) I fully know. But somehow it makes me sad with the potential he has.

Still think and sure that Rob is preparing something interesting for a few next years in a row.

He has never been lazy in his art.

Everybody of us knows he has the tons of new music in his secret catalog and he could release it without problems.

Maybe he and his mgmt have another plan for near future.

I agree with you both , Robbie has done absolutely nothing for the last for months work related that we can see , I am sure something is going on in the background but it's a real shame for his fans that he never bothers to give any updates . I am hoping we will hear something in the last Qtr of the year , he is supposed to be moving to Australia too make that movie ( though he will have a tough time trying to even get in to AUS at the minute with the Covid issue ) . I do not want another release of that Christmas album with another new song added, that is what I call a 'lazy man's load' -_-

Happy Mondays and Black Grape frontman Shaun Ryder will release a new solo album, Visits From Future Technology, on August 20 via SWRX. It's his first solo album since 2003's Amateur Night in the Big Top, and of it he says, "In my delusional ADHD brain it’s my Sgt. Pepper full of different flavoured songs."
