It's hard to find a 'best of Karen' that captures all the moments. I think if I was to make one it'd run into the hours. Maybe 3...

20th - The Big Bang Theory - 311pts ( 7)

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130308073131/bigbangtheory/images/e/eb/The_Big_Bang_Theory_Season_6.jpg

I kind of thought that this one would be a little higher. It is defintiely one of the (if not THE) most popular shows amongst my friends. Currently in its 7th series, it has already been recommissioned for an eighth - so hopefully it'll be around for many years to come.

19th - Torchwood - 314pts ( 16)

(how on EARTH (pardon the pun) is Torchwood top 20 though? )

Well Calum, I was quite surprised as well. I think it's probably becasue a lot of the people who voted for Doctor Who just stuck this one a little lower down on their list. Nowhere near as good as Doctor Who - but then it was never going to be.

18th - The Catherine Tate Show - 319pts ( 48)

This is just hilarious. I've always like Catherine Tate and she really is great in this. Nan and Lauren are probably my favourite two characters - with Nan due to get her very own show later this year. Catherine Tate does still have one show left (Doctor Who - and something tells me we may be waiting a while for that one ).

17th - Homeland - 324pts ( 7)

Next to fall is this suberb political thriller. Claire Danes is outstanding in her role as bipolar-suffering CIA agent Carrie Mathison and the whole thing is really well done.

16th - Game Of Thrones - 329pts (fewer votes) ( 2)

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....

If I only I had watched this before the rate began then I could have given it 40 (well it would have been close between this and Broen/Bron). It still wouldn't have made the top 10 though so I must just put it down to most people's LACK OF TASTE. This is about as far as (English language) TV can get to perfection and it absolutely deserves to be number 1 on every ranking ever. OK... rant over. But seriously this is amazing TV and unparalleled in its scale. A true epic.

Game of Thrones only 16th??? LUDICROUS

especially given BIG BROTHER and that pandering offensive shit GLEE are ahead of it.

yeah Torchwood HAD to be in the next bunch. Shocked that Game of Thrones is out though, all I ever see is universal praise from Buzzjack. :o (will also try and watch it at some point)

Dear god, that's immediately made this rate invalid. Top 10 I could have dealt with but only 16th?! It's quite clearly already a classic in the making, not only everyone on Buzzjack who's watched it seems to love it but I've seen very little but praise for it everywhere!

Absolutely phenomenal TV all the way through. And this too:

:(

-x-

I prefer Torchwood to Doctor Who at times actually, it's done some interesting and well-done stories (tail end of S2 and S3) even if it did have its share of crap.

Children of Earth is one of the best pieces of drama ever written. Episodes 4 and 5 always have me sobbing (especially the latter considering what happens to Stephen)

Shocked to see Torchwood so high but I suppose Doctor Who has a lot of fans on here to boost it. Pleased to see it getting recognition anyway, a very good spin-off if we erase 'Miracle Day' from our minds. If the voting had took place after series 3 of Homeland, I feel it would have placed a bit lower. It was sad to see the quality fall and for it to slide into a different show. Good to see TBBT didn't get any higher, awful show.

Well I tried my best not to watch this one and I managed to resist successfully for four whole series. However I recently gave in and watch the first episode of series 5 and was hooked. I don't know whether it's always been this good - but I sure hope so.

If you like the latest series, you will seriously love the previous four! It's a lot more natural in those, making it a lot more funnier.

Quite a few things have made this rate invalid now

The original Will and Grace commentary was spot on. It was the Golden Age of sitcoms, rated mor ehighly than Friends, so Big Bang shouldn't be ahead of it, and Big Bang should still be top 10!

If it's already onto season 8, that show won't be lasting much longer :(

Too many favourite shows eliminated in one go. If Parks doesn't win this now, I'm suing.

15th - Futurama - 329pts (more votes) ( 54)

Next we have this Matt Groening animated comedy (but it's far from his highest entry on this list...). Although this isn't one of my favourite shows I do give it credit for surviving its 2008 reboot (after having been originally cancelled in 2003).

14th - South Park - 331pts ( 20)

And now for another animation - this time slightly more on the adult side. This is perhaps a bit too much for me - but I can see why it's so popular.

13th - Glee - 363pts ( 1)

http://static2.hypable.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/glee-season-5-episode-8-song-list-darkness-stevie-nicks.jpg

I am quite surprised that this proved to be such a big hit - even getting a sizeable number of (UK) chart hits. But thankfully their last top 40 single was at the start of series 3 (Rumour Has It / Someone Like You). Just not my thing (and seriously - how is this a better TV show than Game Of Thrones??????????)

12th - The Inbetweeners - 381pts ( 7)

As this was the show that I gave my -1 to, you can be sure that I have nothing good to say about it. All I have to say is, once again: how on earth is this rubbish higher than Game Of Thrones ????????????? It's a travesty.

11th - The X Factor - 409pts ( 8)

http://i1.cdnds.net/12/33/618x518/realitytv_x_factor_2012_judges_1.JPG

Well despite the recent slip (or perhaps plummet) in quality this show is still holding up alright in this countdown. Apparently Simon is coming back for this year's series - in a last ditch attempt to keep the ratings up (and because the US version was axed). It may not be to everyone's taste - but you can't deny that it is one of the most iconic shows of the past few years.

And that leaves:

American Dad

Big Brother UK

Desperate Housewives

Doctor Who

Family Guy

Friends

Miranda

Parks & Recreation

The Apprentice

The Simpsons

And a little stat: there is a 72 point gap between the number 10 and the X Factor at number 11

What will triumph? Results coming tomorrow.

Glee :(

One of the best shows, all four seasons have extremely strong plots and there are certain covers that are just stunning

The likes of them last 5 coming before Game of Throne is laughable! There's only Desperate Housewives which is good enough to win left imo

Parks must prosper!

Desperate Housewives and Doctor Who for top 2 *.*

Sorry guys!!

10th - Parks & Recreation - 481pts ( 1)

http://www.givinguponperfect.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/parks-and-rec.jpg

Interestingly this received the lowest number of votes of all the shows in the top 10. But it appears here by a comfortable 72 points as 13 of its 14 voters placed it in their top 10.

9th - American Dad - 489pts ( 10)

http://www.infinitydish.com/tvblog/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/american-dad.jpg

Here we have another adult animated show (these do seem to be rather popular - although I'm surprised this comes ahead of South Park).

8th - Desperate Housewives - 499pts ( 8)

http://www.episodegenerator.com/wp-content/uploads/1292204058.jpg

I'm not even going to try and say anything about this one. I'm know this has hundreds of fans on Buzzjack, and I'm sure all of them could sing its praises far better than I could.

7th - Doctor Who - 522pts ( 1)

http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Arts/Arts_/Pictures/2008/04/04/tate460.jpg

I chose this picture because it was, in my opinion, the time when the show was at its peak. For a while it looked like this could potentially end up winning this rate, with some big points from early voters, but it just didn't pick up as many little votes as the shows ahead of it did.

6th - The Simpsons - 566pts ( 6)

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02190/simpsons_2190873b.jpg

Another classic of TV (well I suppose all the shows are classics now, but this one especially so) which is now well into its 25th series, with a 26th in the works. I know there has been a drop in the quality of some of the more recent episodes but for me personally it is still one of the funniest shows on TV.

OMG wut. DW and DH out in one go?! :(

Desperate Housewives is by far the best American TV show I have ever watched and will ever watch. Every season is just so *.*

And Doctor Who, well, yeah. Childhood and the best British TV show.

http://www.bbcamerica.com/anglophenia/files/2013/11/tumblr_mwqd787DKP1qijoeyo3_500.gif

(what happened to the 'favourite characters from each of the shows' thing tho?)

So the 5 of the 6 that would have been acceptable winners are out in favour of BIG BROTHER, SIR ALAN f***ING SUGAR, the most overrated sitcom (maybe even SHOW ever) and a show with a central premise of one joke spread over 3 series. Good job Buzzjack. Family Guy better win now, though it only has any right to that claim.based on former glories, but NEEDS MUST.

At its peak (the first 19 seasons) 'The Simpsons' was untouchable. It's withered a lot since, but nothing can diminish what it managed in those glory years.

Can't at it not being the highest animated show here (or show ALTOGETHER for that matter).
