November 15, 201311 yr b28_wgzR34Y nmwGFX5pgXw Basically the reason The Chase is worth watching sometimes.
November 15, 201311 yr Cougar Town beaten by The Chase?! Good lord. :drama: The former really is terrific ever since it got into its groove - having decided it didn't like its original premise - but you have to watch it all the way from the beginning because there are so many in-jokes and idiosyncrasies. It's much, much better as a "bunch of friends don't do much" successor to Friends than How I Met Your Mother. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lfn9rtSYLn1qad7qy.gif "imaginary hat" Cougar Town is amazing. I agree, so underrated! Any show which focuses on a group of friends getting drunk off wine and Courtney Cox is a good one to me. Laurie is easily the best for me, her scenes with Travis are ridiculously cute too. Laurie & Travis are an amazing pairing indeed. I'm glad they didn't rush their relationship too much like they did with Jules and Grayson.
November 15, 201311 yr It's stuff like that that makes The Chase SO WRONG. Alexander and Richard would make a clever remark and move on, but Bradley is far too basic for that.
November 28, 201311 yr Author 71st ☆ Grey's Anatomy ☆ 146pts (Favourite character: Christina) http://static1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130520082214/greysanatomy/images/4/44/GreysS8MainCast.jpg  [67-71] March 27, 2005 – present on ABC Starting off with a show that I'd quite like to watch all the way through having only ever seen the special musical episode, Grey's began as a midseason replacement for ABC paired with Desperate Housewives and it quickly became a massive hit. Created by Shonda Rhimes (also known for Scandal; at least a couple of actors have also starred in both), this is a medical drama featuring protagonist Dr. Meredith Grey. Cast members have come and gone with one of the originals being movie star Katherine Heigl. The show has gone after the Superbowl and was relocated after the second season to Thursday nights, the timeslot it still holds in season 10. The impact in the US has been massive, even laughing a successful spin-off series in Private Practice, and is still one of the top-rated shows on ABC with no end to be seen in the immediate future. 200+ episodes would be a bit much to catch-up on but it's something I'm intrigued by and there are a fair few fans on here. 70th ☆ Britain's Got Talent ☆ 146pts http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1181820/thumbs/o-BRITAINS-GOT-TALENT-FINAL-570.jpg 9 June 2007 – present on ITV Launched by Simon Cowell in 2007, BGT is open to people of all ages who wish to showcase a talent. A range of judges have sat at the table pressing the famous big red buzzers including Piers Morgan, David Hasselhoff, Alesha Dixon and Simon himself. Auditions are held in front of live audiences (I've attended before, it's a fun experience). The live shows take place over the course of a week. Opera singer Paul Potts became the first winner and launched a worldwide career and Susan Boyle became an overnight sensation although she was beaten to first by dance group Diversity. I find it much more enjoyable than Simon's other show, The X Factor, due to the variety making it more interesting and fun to watch. 69th ☆ The Vampire Diaries ☆ 147pts (Favourite character: Katherine) http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/tvd-320-full-cast-tableau.jpg  [62-69] September 10, 2009 – present on The CW Based on the book series of the same name, this show has been the shining star of The CW's schedule since it launched. Garnering lots of buzz on twitter and broadcast on ITV2 in the UK, this series focuses on Elena who is drawn into a supernatural world with vampire brothers Stefan and Damon, creating a love triangle between the three. Werewolves and witches are also included with threats being in the form of original vampires (who now have their own spin-off titled "The Originals") such as Klaus. As well as the main love triangle we have Elena's brother Jeremy (played by the extremely attractive Steven R. McQueen), her best friends Bonnie and Caroline and her ex-boyfriend Matt. I loved the first couple of seasons a lot and the addition of Elena's double, Katherine, made things very interesting but I lost my way towards the end of season 3.

February 5, 201411 yr Author This is on hold indefinitely as the results were lost when my laptop had to be wiped  but I do remember FRINGE is out next
February 5, 201411 yr Well, that puts an interesting spin on things. (and confirms what I already knew, oops)
February 13, 201411 yr This is on hold indefinitely as the results were lost when my laptop had to be wiped  I don't mean to tread on anybody's toes here but I went through the voting on the previous thread and I agree with almost all the scores posted so far (there are some discrepancies, but I can double check them tomorrow). Would it be helpful for me to continue this, or to send to scores to you so that you can?
February 15, 201411 yr So I have been given Jáhq's blessing to continue this. Results will (re-)commence shortly.
February 15, 201411 yr 68th - Fringe - 147pts ( 10) http://go.ninemsn.com.au/img/fringe/season4/fringe_header.jpg Fringe might not be the biggest jewel in the crown of hubris atop the head of JJ Abrams, but it is by far the best. Obviously Fringe owes a lot to Lost, in fact it's mere existence is in no small part down to the huge success of that show. Fringe never achieved monster ratings and indeed for it's final 3.5 season was the very definition of CULT HIT, yet Fox stuck with it to the very end (sub 1.0 all the way baby). Where Fringe excelled over virtually every other JJ show is that the majority of the characters were brilliantly written, with believable back stories and motives and actual emotional connections which seemed like they both had stakes and also could happen in reality. That, coupled with the array of acting talent on the show, made Fringe a must watch show for genre fans (which to be fair, ended up being about 3 million Americans, but quality not quantity). Obviously that's all well and good, but the other main selling point of Fringe was incredible storytelling. It followed the same path as Lost, adding layer upon layer of mystery and insanity. The different with Fringe though was that everything felt like it fitted into a larger puzzle, and in the end it all did. I won't pretend to understand even half of the science that went down over the course of the 5 seasons, but it was cool as f*** for the most part. Alternate universes, drugged up children with superpowers, alternate alternate universes, time portals, LESBIAN CYBORBS (well, not really, but she might as well have been) and more than a handful of time travel by series' end. The show went through various resets and rebirths, not least the 5th season, born out of the trademark INSANE 19th episode of each season and whilst it was probably the least successful of the 5, the sense of closure and completion it brought to the show was great. I really do heartily recommend the show to anyone who is a fan of well written sci-f, they really don't come any better than this (apart from maybe BSG). by Johnkm. 67th - True Blood - 148pts ( 12) http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_super/6/68345/2024750-true_blood_cast_pic_550x375.jpg Based on the books by Charlaine Harris, this vampire-fatasy series airs on HBO and is heading for its 7th and final series later this year. Set in the fictional town of Bontemps, Louisiana it follows the adventures of Sookie Stackhouse - just your average part-human part-fairy telepath with a were-panther for a brother. Not a sentence I ever imagined I would write. I've not seen it myself but it has been recommended by a couple of family members so I might check it out some time. It caters for the more mature breed of vampire-lover with plenty of sex / drugs etc. And apparently it stays fairly faithful to the source material - so bonus points from me. 66th - Black Mirror - 149pts () http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/zh/2/24/BlackMirrorTitleCard.jpg I remember there being quite a lot of controversy about this (especially the first episode) when it first came out. Created by Charlie Brooker, it consists of a series of independent episodes each of which deals with an issue based on potential 'side-effects' of modern society and modern technology. It has recieved high praise from many critics for its innovative and daring ideas (such as the aforementioned first episode) and has been successful worldwide. Not my cup of tea but if you're looking for a bit of dark satire, then this fits the bill. Edited February 23, 201411 yr by O Mie d'Bandit
February 15, 201411 yr Black Mirror was stunning drama. I didn't watch the last of the three, but the first two were great! 'White Bear' was so chilling and tense from beginning to end.
February 16, 201411 yr Black Mirror was stunning drama. I didn't watch the last of the three, but the first two were great! 'White Bear' was so chilling and tense from beginning to end. You didn't miss much, The Waldo Moment was a complete damp squib :( White Bear though was indeed stunning. Fifteen Million Merits from the first series is also excellent. I'm so surprised Black Mirror is so high :o Mightily deserved though, one of the most thought provoking dramas I've seen in recent years.
February 16, 201411 yr Fringe should be a lot higher (but I'm surprised it got this high so yay). Fantastic classy sci-fi. The quality of writing is top-notch and that it got to wrap itself up so well was very appreciated.
