It'd advise everyone with even a fleeting interest in Politics to read that. Such a well written piece full of thought provoking moments. Julia's withdrawal from Politics is a huge loss not only to Australia but to the rest of the democratic world. There are a lot of lessons political parties the world over could learn from her and not just about her dedication to making Australia a better place to live.

She's actually Welsh by origin, so I think a petition should be started to recall Gillard to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to help make us great once again. Labour could learn a hell of a lot from what she has written about being a party in opposition. What parts of the last government's record to claim and what to brush under the carpet of number 10.

I need to find time to read that having seen some favourable comments on Twitter this morning. It's been a bit of a topsy-turvy weekend as I've been getting as much of my chart commentary written as possible to clear the way for Reading v the mighty Brighton & Hove Albion tomorrow

Given the week I've had, Brighton better thump the b'Jesus out of Reading on the pitch tomorrow.

Gillard will be releasing a memoir about her and her time as the first female Deputy Prime Minister and first female Prime Minister of Australia. Random House will be publishing it in October 2014!
