I am really so sorry to hear that Flatcap , we all have learnt so much from our grandparents , always so good to us . Had your Grandad been ill Flatcap .

He was 90 and very frail, so it was expected. I contacted him regularly for years, I admired him for his determination to cling to life and his independence. I will never forget him. He was the family member who nurtured my love of historical architecture

That is lovely Flatcap , I too have a love of archeticture that I picked up from my late Dad, when we were young he used to take us around churches & old buildings , I never appreciated it until I became an adult & could see what he saw at the time

It's always good to have memories, I'll always remember him where there is excellent wood carving as he used to make things of wood. We still have a coffee table he made here.

I see Rory McElroy has decalred for Ireland for the Olympics next year, he could have opted to play for team GB as he lives in NR Irl , I think he knew better , can you imagine the reception he would get down here if he did :lol:
