& I am shouting for Ole Ireland B-)

I'm really sorry this is ending tomorrow - it's been so much fun.

Exciting and exhilarating to watch.

It's a joke, I have to work from home tomorrow & Friday as the country has ground to a halt due to a 'weather event'

Other countries must be laughing at us,

I bet Better Man is well used to ice & snow & not everything grinds to a halt...they ran out of bread in the shops here :o

Apart from the snow showers that wind is bitter isn't it?

Well it's an east wind which is always colder anyway , the latest thing over here is these weather alerts driven by social media .. I can never remember 'weather events' years ago, it just happened & we got on with it <_<

I do recall the joys of working outside with it at -23C with a -48C wind chill, all the while with snow falling like mad...

It's been horrible here this week. Hopefully changing by the weekend.

I was down on the river today, it was lovely, loads of kiddies out playing in the snow, someone gave Sir Terry Wogan a makeover

Wogan looks a lot better.

Anyway, there has been rather a lot of snow here. 5 inches (most we have had in over 25 years living here). The bin lid fell out of reach so we couldn't close it. Didn't want to go outside so I hit the lid with a golf club to close it. It worked but I got a covering of snow on me as a result. My mother called me the new abominable snowman....

Love this!

I made a mistake in the snow today - stayed at work too long, it started snowing heavily again and the roads were horrendous. I've done something to my car. Trying to get up steep icey hills getting home. I might have wrecked the brakes.

Mr Stanley having a look tomorrow......

Golf clubs do come in handy at times Flatcap

This actually happened in Dublin last night , scary how quickly that building collapsed , the people in the truck thingy are the police & army & just watch the people stealing all the stuff

The police caught them all but too late for that supermarket , disgraceful , people have lost their jobs as a result
