Watched Noel Gallagher High Flying Birds on the Biggest Weekend tonight.

He was great. B-) Chris Sharrock is still with him.

They performed All You Need Is Love at the end which I thought was nice.

I did watch some of it live but taped the rest , I like NG, his band are very edgy looking <_<

Me girlfriend rang me up back on Friday while I was at work, as she thought I may have had the day off, to let me know after seeing her doctor about a recurring pain and stomach issues going on 2 years or a little more now, she's got a hernia, and round where the hernia is located, she's got a twist in her intestine, requiring surgery, which she's looking to have done as quickly as possible. As she's got no health insurance coverage, the procedure is going to run her around 20,000 USD to have done. As a result, she's going to be working as much as she can between now and mid-July, I think, to try to round up as much cash as she can to pay in cash, then use credit cards for the rest of the balance. She wants me to be there when she has the surgery, getting her to hospital, getting her home, and waiting to find out how she does with the surgery. Her doctor says she's going to be in hospital at least one night after the surgery, and, of course it's going to be worrisome for me. She's already freaking out about having this done, and I think she wants me there for all this as I seem to have a knack for calming her down when she's in freak-out mode....and, she just doesn't trust her family to get her to hospital, see her while she's admitted, and then take her home when she's discharged....

Poor her . I wish her well soon. -_- Why does she not have health insurance? I thought it was compulsory? That's a lot of money to find.

With the property she owns, along with the animals (5 dogs, 6 puppies, 5 horses) along with always seemingly being prevailed upon to help out family with this, that or the other. she just hasn't had time to get any for herself, even a 'bronze plan' from somewhere that'd still have a large deductible. She's just been paying the penalties when she has her taxes done. Even if she did get health insurance now, they wouldn't cover her for the hernia since it's a 'pre-existing condition'.

Yes - I understand.

We are lucky with the NHS in this country. Although we are all going to have to pay more in the future. There isn't enough money to go round with an ageing population.

Loved the final episode of Car Share tonight.

The happy ending everybody wanted.

I hate saying this but this hot weather is getting to me

It was 26o in Shannon yesterday where I work & no air in the office :please:
Small bit cooler today with a slight breeze, just gorgeous :)

Hope all goes well with your girlfriend Biggie.

The temperature is getting a bit too high for me. The fans and air conditioning had better be in perfect working order...

Aww I love donkeys.

It's Derby Day here Saturday and Oaks Day tomorrow (Ladies Day).

That means by tomorrow evening when I drive home from work Epsom Downs will be full of young ladies in their finery weaving across the road with their shoes in one hand and a drink in the other. :D

I'm not big on horse racing but will pop over to the Derby and have a listen to the live music with one of my daughters on Saturday. ^_^ Weather forecast is really good for both days. :yahoo:

Cute donkeys! I visited a donkey sanctuary last week on my birthday.
