Do you live near Kew Gardens Laura , there is an exhibition on next Apr-Oct featuring the glass artist Chihuly , I went to see the expo in Seatlle a couple of years ago, it was really spectacular both indoors & outdoors , truly amazing

Have you seen his work Mr B , I think he plays a hands off role these days due o bad health but they re all his designs

Anybody else Brexited out? :coffee:

I'm fairly amused by all the Brexiteers purple with rage at being shafted. :kink:

Theresa May got the poisoned chalice that nobody else wants to touch, not a tickety-boo from David Cameron thses days who started all of this. Did they really think it was that simple leaving the EU after 45 years , it seems the NI border & Good Friday agreement never crossed their minds when they called the referendum . I have no issue with the GB leaving the EU but they seriously need to get it right for all our sakes & I do not mean that in monetary terms

I hope there will be another referendum. I cannot imagine what is ging on in the world with so many countries thinking they are better off on them own

I voted remain Elisabeth and I would again. I think the decision to leave is catastrophic - but I don't think there should be another vote. I think that would make the divisions worse. We've made our bed we have to lie on it. ( Elisabeth- do you understand that British saying?). I just think they should have employed some professionals to negotiate the UK deal not the politicians who are all in it for their own personal gain.

Mrs May is sticking in there , . I was listening to a guy last night on BBC who said that over 200 MP's had made no comment yesterday, that is was well known that they hate Boris & Mr Reece Mogg & that nobody else in reality wants to take on the job at this moment in time so I will be shocked if they vote her out

At lunch time they said they had received 21 letters of no confidence and they thought they would get to 48 (the number needed) by Monday.

The thing is - if a hard Brexiteer gets in like Boris Johnson or Jacob Rees-Mogg - what will that mean for your border Tess? :o

Also surely they can't vote a PM in on the basis of their view on one subject? There are other matters they have to deal with other than Brexit. The poor old economy and NHS has been forgotten about in all the Brexit drama. They won't even have got there by a General Election either.

It works fine right now without the 'border' , we have had 20 yrs of peace in NI & I would like to see that continue ..

Funny things that most business people in NI want it left alone & that is a fact so their politicians are not listening to them

It was never going to be easy for GB to get out so I am not surprised at what is happening, I think Theresa May is digging in , she has surprised me recently with her attitude . What alternative have the rebellious conservative Mp's come up with , they talk about running back to the EU to renegotiate , they think it's that easy :smoke:

Agree with all of this.

I've also noticed Boris Johnson has gone very quiet. I wonder what he's up to?

All these politicians with massive ego's messing with my kids/grand kids/country's future for their own political gain. <_<

Boris is busy plotting in the background ... next couple of days we will know where it's going . It would seem that work is also going on in the background at a high level in government to go back to the EU looking for more adjustments to the agreement which is still only in draft phase so maybe TM will manage to appease some of the naysayers & get their support

So much for New Zealand's haka doing the job this time...
The Celtic Tiger is well & truly back, I went Xmas shopping on Friday ( day ff work ) , the prices in the shops were just so expensive, I went into one store ( equivalent to HOF ) , I always have a budget price wise for Xmas presents & by God do I stick to it ,the girl in the shop was disgusted that I kept going on about the prices ( saying 'too expensive, too expensive' over & over again ^_^ ) , I do not think I was the type of Customer that they wanted in their store

Do you think they were moaning about you behind your back once you'd left the store Tess?

I'm definitely getting more confident about sticking up for myself the older I get.

The other day I told the barman in a pub at lunch time how rude he was because he stopped serving us mid order to answer the phone. He left us standing there for a couple of minutes at the bar while he took the call. :o

He wouldn't have done it if it had been a couple of men standing there instead of Ladies. Proper annoyed me.

So I felt the need to say so.
