Do you think they were moaning about you behind your back once you'd left the store Tess?

I'm definitely getting more confident about sticking up for myself the older I get.

The other day I told the barman in a pub at lunch time how rude he was because he stopped serving us mid order to answer the phone. He left us standing there for a couple of minutes at the bar while he took the call. :o

He wouldn't have done it if it had been a couple of men standing there instead of Ladies. Proper annoyed me.

So I felt the need to say so.

I think they were talking about me even before I left the shop  . People have only themselves to blame for the rising cost of goods in shops , they use their credit cards a lot so have the frame of mind that ' I want that at any cost & must have it '. I try to buy as much as I can using my cash card & it does make you more conscious of how much you are paying for stuff plus I always stick to a budget , it also makes shopping more pleasurable especially if you have been saving up to buy something special :)

That particular store had a coat in there that cost €1875 , for God's sake what was it made of , gold at that price

Disgraceful & I refuse to pay such prices , it's morally wrong <_<

One more gift to get, and the Christmas shopping will be complete. I am off work for a bit, so hopefully will be popping in here a bit more.

Seeing my brother today. :yahoo:

Hope all are well? Christmas nearly sorted?

I've started Christmas. That's the best I can say so far. :)

Bresit, Brexit, Brexit all the way this week ....8 days to the big vote

Will there be a General Election or a second referendum

there is a strong possibility that there will be a SR , stops everyone losing face at this stage.

We had two occasions over the years where we had to vote twice on referendums, both EU related & both times I voted no...the government here told us we were more or less stupid & did not know what we were doing & frightened people into changing their minds ...will be interesting to see what happens in the UK .

It's hard to see Theresa May getting that bill through Parliament but what happens after that is a mystery.

The house market appears to have completely frozen in the wake of all the uncertainty.

I am just thinking about perfume at the minute. what is your favourite perfume, mine is Hermes Elixir Des Mervilles , just divine

Whatever's on offer

I'm fickle when it comes to perfume but do like a light perfume not too floral. Chanel Chance is gorgeous if I'm near a duty free.

Years ago a friend of mine had one called ESCAPE by Calvin Klein I think, it was well names, you would run away from it, the scent was horrible

Good time off so far, visited Peterborough and spent overnight there. Attended Choral Evensong, they had a lovely organ voluntary afterwards as well. A week Sunday, a church service is being held at my favourite redundant church. :cheer:

Glad you're having a lovely time. :)

I am away working most of this week, not sure how good my access to the Internet will be in the next day or two
Surely Theresa May has a plan B , anyway we will know whether she has or not by the time I get back :P
