Don't think I'd want to try and wrangle that critter....my luck, it'd eat me whole...

I'm trying to pretend it's not happening. He scares the shit out of me.

It's a very interesting time in American history, dying to see how the next few months unfold , I still cannot believe people voted for him but there you go

Will he fulfill his promises of looking after the those that have been forgotten or was it all 'election' talk

I didn't see his speech live Tess, only BBC "highlights". Make your audience defensive, insular, suspicious of the outside world, divide and conquer. Pray on your audience's insecurities and suspicion of outsiders. It's all been done before in the 1930s. That led the world to disaster.

All the way through his campaign my husband kept saying to me "he won't get in, someone will stop him" but I knew he would - and now the rest of us have got to pay for it. <_< As far as I'm concerned it's a real dark day in politics.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm....Belgian waffles and chicken.....

I saw them live last year , not my cup of tea, I prefer the Irish traditional music with a really good band . The venue we went to was very hot & I could not stop yawning which was not a good sign :(

I did enjoy this on tv the other night

I figured The High Kings aren't everyone's cuppa.....but I enjoy them, anyhow... ;) ;)

If you like Finbar Furey, maybe, just maybe, you might like this one he did with The High Kings about 6 years back...

By the by, Finbar's son Martin is in The High Kings.....he's the one with the tin whistle just to the right of Finbar looking at the stage....but I figured you knew that already, Tess, having seen them last year...

Finbar Fury is a stand out guy for me , he oozes quality . He has years on the High Kings so i guess that makes a difference.

I did know his son was in the High Kings , as I said they were ok , I went with friends & they all loved them so I guess it's down to personal taste

True, to each his or her own as to what they like in the muzak area....I do recall that The Fureys did some touring at one time with The Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem in the 1960's/70's....a couple of top notch traditional Irish groups in my mind, along with The Wolfe Tones....I enjoy all 3, truth be told...

Guess it's me Irish heritage that draws me to that kind of music....

EDIT: looks like someone doesn't take too kindly to Robbie in the Laundry thread over lounge way.... -_- -_-
