At lunchtime yesterday the sun was shining beautifully for all of 10 mins, I came out of work yesterday evening , had no jacket & it was absolutely freezing, this country, this weather :cry:

Did the mini tornado occur? I have had a few mixed days with the weather the last few days. Hopefully a few better days are around the corner, there is a bench outside which needs sanding and painting...

Well no,m not exactly a tornado but definitely a monsoon with plenty wind , it poured rain all day long on Friday with loads of thunder & lightening , rather scary. Today is a beautiful day & it's pouring in London as I have been watching the Paralympics & they still mange ti run on blades in the yrack,, well done to them , they are such an inspiration

I think I've been experiencing English-style weather this weekend....rain, winds.....even some thunder/lightning thrown in for good measure....

 

I sent my girlfriend a text for her birthday on 7/24, asking her which anniversary she'll be celebrating, the 32nd anniversary of her 18th birthday, or the 29th anniversary of her 21st....told her I'll be celebrating my 32nd anniversary of my 21st birthday in 27 days from 7/23....

 

It's to the point now I'm wishing the 24th of August were here so my girlfriend and I can go on our trip slated for the 25th-28th of August...she's more excited than I am about this trip, and I'm pretty fookin excited....this is my first trip ever with a significant other going with me....

I'd pretty much given up looking for a girlfriend a long time ago, but, when Karen and I met, seemingly out of the blue, we were both surprised at how our relationship developed, and me finally calling her my girlfriend back in March of this year....when I suggested to her about going with me in August on this trip, she eagerly jumped at the chance....

I was thinking the same thing earlier Monday...of course I've had several people I know, family included, ask me when the wedding is going to happen....I told them, at this point, I don't know, since we're taking things slowly right now in this relationship...it'd help her out quite a bit right now if we WERE married, as she currently has no health insurance coverage, and I do, through my employer....but, we want to make sure at this point before jumping into any kind of marriage, since she's had 1 marriage end badly, as well as several other relationships in her past end quite badly....

Right first time , Terry Wogan. Terry came from Limerick , the city council decided to have a statue made in his honour , everyone is giving out about the scale of the piece & that his head is too big, at least it's drawing attention even it is for the wrong reasons. It;s very coppery looking , like a really bad tan, hopefully it will age over time . I am sure that terry would have laughed at the whole carry on about it

Lovely honour for him to have a statue in his name. B-) It is an unfortunate thing with modern statues isn't it - that because everyone knows what the person looked like in real life, they can judge whether the statue is any good or not.

 

 

It can never be as bad as this one of Ronaldo though can it? This one actually makes me laugh out loud :lol: :lol: :lol:
