Posted September 18, 201311 yr So Starbucks are banning guns: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-24142085 I am really gonna miss resting my Glock 45 and AK 47 next to my coffee and chocolate muffin. :(
September 21, 201311 yr Does anyone know if banning guns has any impact, positive or negative, on a restaurant (or coffee empire)? I'm not convinced that it has any significant effect. At the very least, Starbucks probably would not ban guns if they thought a ban would hurt them!
September 21, 201311 yr May not have an effect on Starbucks but banning guns nationwide has a significant impact on the murder rate....
September 23, 201311 yr Sorry, the original post is wrong as they've not instituted a ban, but only asked that customers not bring guns with them. It even says that in the BBC article. The coffee chain Starbucks has asked its customers in the US to stop bringing guns into its outlets. Starbucks has not imposed a ban, but says guns "should not be part of the Starbucks experience".I had no idea about all the events that led up to this :o Both sides using Starbucks as some kind of political bait, that's terrible :(
