Oh yay an unexpected top ten finish! I seem to be better at UP than BJSC these days, bizarre! As I suspected it generally picked up high points or nothing, I can imagine it being similarly polarising if it ever became a big hit. ARGH I don't think there's a more frustrating position than 11th with just a point off the top 10, but it performed far better than I thought it would, I was sure it was too understated to be a big contender. Thanks everyone who voted for etc. and at least I missed out to a great song (I would've given Hero so much more now, been really getting into it recently)

 

Absolutely brilliant top 2, both amazing discoveries. I really didn't think it would be that close and Mons Montis would just storm this, but I'm slightly glad to see Bad Kingdom put up at least a small challenge in the end. (I do hope this is the song I'm thinking of and not Mont Oliver, I kept getting those three due to similar names!). Congrats to John and thanks D* for hosting ^_^

Quite disappointed with the winning song. As soon as I heard it I felt the crushing inevitability that it would do well. It's UP by numbers.

I think this is the first time I've been genuinely disappointed with my songs position. :( I thought that as going for something that's one of the better unknown songs I'm liking at that point (which I'm sometimes not *that* fussed on) I'd go with something utterly beautiful that I genuinely loved. Oh well. Good winner and top 5 (minus Moderat).

Cheers Jordan. It was hearing the song in Unknown Pleasures that inspired me to write that post, so thanks for that. It's a pity it didn't do any better, Endless Drain is a cracking song.
