October 7, 201311 yr Very random choice of CiN single, they don't usually pluck something from an already released album that will have to climb the charts! I love the song, gorgeous little ballad, I hope it connects with the public. I knew it would be a single, it just screamed 'winter ballad release' when I first heard the new tracks.
October 7, 201311 yr What happened to Union J doing it? :kink: Very sweet track, I remember hearing it in the movie. Does verge on being a bit dull at times though imo.
October 7, 201311 yr I love the song. This song is 'Album Only' on the Halcyon Days album now and a single pre-order has been made available.
October 7, 201311 yr Interesting choice! Not one of my top favourites from 'Halcyon Days' though (perhaps my 7th place out of the 10 tracks). It's a lovely song though, and it should do very well. As Rich said, it's rather unusual for a charity single to be a track which is already available on an album. Has that been the case for any Comic Relief or CIN single since Spice Girls' Mama/Who Do You Think You Are? :o
October 7, 201311 yr Oh god, gone are the days of the CiN singles being creative choices at all or actually any good. :drama:
October 7, 201311 yr Oh god, gone are the days of the CiN singles being creative choices at all or actually any good. :drama: I think this is a very creative choice? I never expected Ellie to be doing it, especially with this song. You'd have praised it if it were Union J. Great choice for the song, hopefully it can go top 10 for her but I'd say top 20 is more likely.
October 8, 201311 yr It will, though. In the literal sense  I'm sure it'll do alright but I do imagine more in a low top 10 and gone way. I love Ellie but there's virtually nothing in the line of a hook here. 'Your Song' was far more impactful.
October 8, 201311 yr I like it well enough, nice song. It is indeed a bit random as a CIN track, I'd rather she recorded a new 'nice enough' track or a better ballad, but still. SHe should get another top 20 out of it anyhow!
October 9, 201311 yr How has Ellie turned this era around so dramatically? After those horrific first week sales, plummeting out the chart and figure 8 flopping it looked like she was a gonner. But then comes 'Explosions' and she's arguably the biggest uk female at the moment
October 9, 201311 yr Aww I love this song, one of my faves from the re-release and its a nice choice for CIN
October 9, 201311 yr Haven't quite taken completely to this yet, but it's nice. Hopefully it will grow as I've loved all of her singles so far (apart from The Writer and Explosions but I did like them). I would have loved for her to go with 'Stay Awake' but I guess this is suitable if she's been chosen for the CIN single.
October 24, 201311 yr Ellie Goulding is one of the brightest British stars in the last years!!! She is so original artist.."Halcyon Days" is one of the best albums that i've ever heard!!! This song is so simple but it's so meaningful too. I hope it will have decent sales because of the purpose.
