Posted October 11, 201311 yr I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone else thinks should be the next single. As much as I want 'Not Giving Up' as a single, I don't think they should release it next. They should wait till Spring next year and have it as the album closer. In the meantime I think either 'Lease My Love' or 'Leave a Light On' would be best. I've voted for Not Giving Up and Lease My Love in the end. Can you imagine a pre-Christmas X Factor performance of Lease My Love. Oh Rochelle! Single 5: Lease My Love [video/promotions begin in December 2013 with EP release in January 2014] Single 6: Not Giving Up [Released in March 2014] I highly doubt they'd go for a seventh single, maybe not even a sixth single! :(
October 11, 201311 yr I think the only standout track that could be a single is Not Givin Up (IMO), other than that I can only imagine Lease My Love doing ok.
October 11, 201311 yr I would want 'Lease My Love' then 'Not Giving Up' as the next two singles, but I can't see Lease My Love doing that well and think Leave A Light On would do better. Although this is 'technically' single 5 and 6 we're talking about, I'd imagine that most people including themselves forget about 30 Days being even part of this era tbh and they probably tacked it on to the album so it belonged somewhere in their discography. I also do not understand why they move on from albums so quickly, they might as well release 1 or two more singles to milk the album for all it's worth. Edited October 11, 201311 yr by Lew
October 11, 201311 yr 'Not Giving Up' is the only single left, so no doubt it'll be ignored and they'll release 'Leave A Light On' or 'Lease My Love'. :puke2:
October 11, 201311 yr I think they should go with Lease My Love followed by Not Giving Up. Lease My Love could boost album sales and go top twenty or something (ala Army Of Two) then we can unleash Not Giving Up and it can just be a smash single (ala Dear Darlin'). :D

Oh my! But yeah, even if the next single flops, I think Not Giving Up would provide a hit regardless!
October 11, 201311 yr 'Leave A Light On' would be a fab choice, but realistically something that would perform well would probably be 'Not Giving Up'.

Thing is, you know they'll just abandon the campaign if a post album single flopped. :( So maybe they could release Not Giving Up first to secure massive airplay and when it smashes, they can throw out Lease My Love and even if it doesn't chart well it'll still keep the album afloat for a while. Although then again, Lease My Love would be more likely to sell the album over Christmas which is more important than Not Giving Up being a smash single. Hmm. I hope they make the right decision anyway. NOT LEAVE A LIGHT ON!

Everytime they're in danger of the next single missing the top 10 or if it had flopped they moved on! (i.e. Work at #22, Ego at #9 showed a risk of missing top 10 with a third single, Higher at #10 with the reason, My Heart Takes Over at #15). I hope they make the right decision too, but they mess up it everytime! Even if Lease My Love only went around #18, they should have confidence that Not Giving Up is a huge fan favourite and would be a big commercial success as the final single.
October 11, 201311 yr Just Not Giving Up. Six singles from a 12 track album would be a bit ridiculous so one post-album single then moving on sounds good to me. Not Giving Up is such an obvious smash.
October 11, 201311 yr Just Not Giving Up. Six singles from a 12 track album would be a bit ridiculous so one post-album single then moving on sounds good to me. Not Giving Up is such an obvious smash. One post album single is the most likely scenario but it it does well and sells the album a bit I genuinely see no reason why they couldn't release another single. They've worked on this album for about 18 months and it'd be really annoying if they just "moved on" after one post album single, especially if there's potential to boost album sales and another single being a hit. IMO, there should be no "maximum" amount of singles allowed from an album. If a single does well in the charts and radio and boosts the album a bit, then release another one, and keep going until nobody is interested in the campaign any more. Look at Teenage Dream! Four post album singles! Even Olly Murs has released three (and is about to release a fourth one). It makes their albums feel more important and feels more of an "era" than just an album release, single release and then 12 month break from the music scene while they record again.
October 11, 201311 yr I think 'Not Giving Up' in January would give them another #1. It's notoriously quiet and that's the type of song that will make people pay attention. We have to remember, they have every intention of touring this album so I think we can expect 2 post-album singles in Jan / March. If it does well, they may even re-release it.
October 11, 201311 yr Not Giving Up of course. Wouldn't mind Leave A Light On as long as they release Not Giving Up as well. No other album track is fit to be a single. Lease My Love would flop.
October 11, 201311 yr Leave a Light On has a catchy hook so could work well over winter, maybe an early January release. Then release global smash Not Giving Up in April.
October 11, 201311 yr Leave A Light On if they want to miss the top 10 and then not release another single because the label would just think it's better to abandon the ship like they always did in the past. Not Giving Up if they truly want another hit that could sell itself and actually sell the album too. Radios would play it for sure, it's insanely catchy. I mean, come on, the only catchy part of Leave A Light On is the "I'm coming home"...which is a rip-off anyway. If they truly want to release a slightly slower/midtempo song, then Lease My Love.
October 11, 201311 yr Lease My Love might be a shout considering they made a big deal about it on Chasing The Saturdays and they might think it'll get airplay/attention being a Rodney Jenkins track.
October 11, 201311 yr They need to go with Not Giving Up for sure! I'd be happy with Leave A Light on, Don't Let Me Dance Alone or Somebody Else's Life too but they won't do as well as NGU Edited October 11, 201311 yr by *Tim

I'd be happy with Lease My Love being an international single but not for the UK. I really am not a fan just based off the preview.
October 11, 201311 yr Single 5 - Not Giving Up : I'm officially obsessed even though I wasnt really liking it to begin with!!! I had it on repeat, listened to it 6 times!! It screams #1, smash single!! It really is All Fired Up part 2, but superior in every way!! Christ the song gave me chills!! Single 6 - Lease My Love : Lets be serious, this track has one stomper of a chorus. It would garner enough attention to secure a top 10 hit I reckon. Single 7 - Don't Let Me Dance Alone : This is the saturdays doing what they do best. Being them!!
