That’s right. Sadly. If it only increases on a 30% week by week for example, it may never come off ACR which will hugely hinder its progress. If it does come off ACR, the new chart rules should help it chart higher than usual.

Yep, if/when she's into the Top 100 we'll be able to find out! She needs to get a 50%+ increase in a particular week to come off ACR, so hopefully that'll happen. This is the first Christmas with these ratio rules in place, so it'll be interesting to see how the Christmas songs do under these conditions. Mariah & Wham! have already managed to get back onto SCR, but The Pogues are still on ACR. :thinking:

ok..but this should happen for every week then? like if in week A you increase for 51 and the next week B you increase for 40 ...it means on week A you are in scr while in week B you return with Acr method...or you still be on scr ?

No it resets. So if you are on ACR then have a 50%+ increase, you go back to SCR. Then you'll only go back on ACR if you have 3 weeks of decreased sales in a row again.

Ok thanks to you and Jay...based on that leona should be on scr since she probably will have a +50% sales increase on the first week of December..or does this count only the week after you hit the top 100....I mean if OMS this week chart at 150 with ONLY sales of 1500..and the week after she charted at 75 with 3001 ONLY sales she will be on scr ?...or you need the week after she charted for the first time in the top 100 to have a +50% sales increase?

 

And last question does this acr effect also her total sps or is it only for the chart ?

Leona's likely going to have a +50% increase this week given she's been rising a lot on iTunes this week. She may have even had a 50%+ increase in sales last week. Shame they don't highlight ACR or SCR on the top 200 midweek updates.

 

It's not a top 100 thing. You can come off ACR when you're outside of the top 100, as long as you registered a 50%+ sales increase I believe.

 

#197 & #199 on iTunes. Both versions in the top 200! :cheer:

It's #175 and #193 now. For comparison tt was #193 & #409 on the same day last year, so it's doing better already.

The label have taken One More Sleep off ACR since Monday (Ed's did this last week, they took it off on Thursday). So she's #98 in the midweeks!

It would be wonderful if she can hold her top 100 position and make her top 100 return at this early stage.

Also it needs to go 59p on Friday until Christmas.

I can't see her holding the Top 100 position due to streaming falling away but still amazing to see her make a return in the midweeks this much earlier.

 

Here is hoping for 59p this Friday.

Really..I also thought that the label in this case is Syco and Leona left them a while ago..so it's nice doing this

Syco must know they have a potential Christmas classic still and will want the coin. 59p will get it more airplay.
