Poor OUAT, looks like it might not go beyond S4 either.

Yay for TGW ticking up (even if a 1.4 is still pretty shit)

Syndication will probably save OUAT and Revenge.

Syndication occurs at the end of season 4 though, hence John's comment about not going beyond season 4.

At this rate I wouldn't be surprised to see Revenge shunted to Friday's next year.

Oh right, I didn't read the post properly.

I guess that's it for 'The Mentalist' then? Shame really as last nights episode was one of the strongest in a while.
Sundays are just becoming too difficult for anything but American football.

And cable! 7.1 for The Walking Dead. Cable just seems to rule Sunday nights.. poor scheduling last season did not help matters with Revenge and OUAT.

What does 'Syndication' mean that's always baffled me?

Basically having enough episodes of a show to repeat it stripped out across the week, on another network, usually cable/sky (usually monday-friday) with having enough episodes so you don't get lots of repeats in a short space of time. Usually you need 88-100 episodes, so four or five seasons of most network shows.

what do the ratings mean? I.e 2.0 for OUAT
That 2% of adults aged 18-49 were watching that show. Each 1.0 is equivalent to about 1.26 million adult 18-49 viewers.
It's not a percentage I don't think.

Pretty certain it is, as 1.0 is equal to 1.256 million or 1% of the 125.6 million or whatever it is adults 18-49.

Don't read too much into The CW numbers, there's the usual f***ey going on because of sport

I'm fairly certain it's a % too.

As for syndication, it's just the process of repeating a show. Like when you see an old show on during the daytime like Charmed is (E4 I think show it). They show an episode every week day. That's stripped syndication. The daily airing of repeats. They start with the first episode and progress from there. So with Charmed they show an episode a day, in order, until they reach the end of season 8. Once they do they start all over again. 88 episodes is seen as the minimum required number for this because it stops the repeats from cycling through as frequently. If you only had one season in syndication you'd see the same episode every 4 weeks but with 88 it reduces that to about every 17 weeks.

Great to see an uptick for Bones, but would have been nice to see a bigger one given what happened in the episode.
