Yes, I've noticed that as well... The Pogues almost always peak higher as well!

Which I've never understood, because Fairytale of New York is less overtly Christmassy. Same as "2,000 Miles", which no one ever remembers.

I started a Facebook campaign to get this to #1 a couple of years ago and the page got about 45 likes.

That doesn't look promising.

Britney is released this Sunday, so I hope she can go at least top 5... lower top ten will be ok, I suppose.

I think it has #7 written all over it.

Little Mix look likely to smash! :D So pleased after being worried it wouldn't recover much after seeing it fall to top 1500...

Britney will get top 10, hopefully! Unless she "does an Avril HTNGU".

'Move' took a couple of listens for me but it's another really good single from them. Their 2nd best behind 'Wings' me thinks. Hope it doesn't do too badly.

Another update of the main 3 Halloween songs:

 [38] 33. Thriller - Michael Jackson

 [46] 39. Ghostbusters - Ray Parker, Jr.

 [62] 53. Monster Mash (Rerecording) - Bobby "Boris" Pickett

 [91] 75. Thriller - Michael Jackson

 [169] 126. Thriller (Single Version) - Michael Jackson

 [178] 159. Ghostbusters (from "Ghostbusters") - Ray Parker, Jr.

 [251] 200. Monster Mash (Re-Recorded) - Bobby "Boris" Pickett

 [355] 266. Monster Mash - Bobby "Boris" Pickett

 [384] 303. Monster Mash - The Crypt-Kickers & Bobby "Boris" Pickett

:ne: [****] 1096. Ghostbusters (12" Single Remix) - Ray Parker, Jr.

How is it going to do badly? I'd say it's a lockdown for Top 5...

That's quite specific :o

Hope you're right, though. I can totally picture her peaking 10 places lower than that.

It'll probably do well enough in its first week, but whether it'll hold up is a different issue.

3 Eminem songs in the top 10................

Eminem's album is still #1 on the album chart as well. No surprise really, there are posters advertising his new album plastered all over London today.

2000 miles as in the wonderful Pretenders 1983 top 20 hit? One of my fav Xmas songs!!

So FONY & AIWFC have been between 600-1000 since that's topic at tre end of sept? If so how many sales would that be around, Vidcapper?

Wasn't it only made available to preorder last weekend, that's prob why it's no1.

Britney should go top 15 with preorders and heavy rotation on the music channels!

Work Bitch has had 6-8 weeks of preorders which have kept it steady around #200-300, even peaking in the top 75 in its first week. Anything less than top 5 would be a real disappointment.

7. Eminem - Survival (+334+1111)

8. Lady Gaga - Do What U Want (feat. R. Kelly)

23. Rizzle Kicks - Skip To the Good Bit (+266+374)

68. Fall Out Boy - Young Volcanoes

82. Bruno Mars - Gorilla

99. James Blake - Retrograde (+124)

Amazing to think at the start of the week everyone thought 1D being #1 was a forgone conclusion, now we all think Em and Ri is a forgone conclusion to be #1 just 4 days later.
I'm so glad that 1D won't be number one this week! I would have liked Fatboy Slim or James Arthur or The Wanted to do it but I do like the new Em and Ri song so I'm glad it is doing well.
