Really like "Problem" on first listen and it's nice to see Iggy having more success too.

Hmm, well from recollection at least it was never a hugely dominant song :unsure: I could imagine it getting to the point where the #2 was 50-60% but this is definitely something else. I wonder how frontloaded it'll be.

It managed to get to #10 on the official top 100 that week and only had it's video views to rely on, as radio had barely touched it.

I suppose this is the first time there has been a single pre-order for such a high profile release so that could be making the lead as big as it is. Despite that, even without the pre-order I think it would still have a very big lead.

with all the evidence presented i think we can say with some certainty if 'the way' managed only 2 days or so at #01 it is unlikely to have reduced the #02 song to 28%.

I definitely think the pre-order has made a big difference... Both in gathering sales and maybe creating some sort of hype. I'm interested to see how this will go if it becomes a trend as it definitely seems better than the standard method of just hyping a radio premiere and then throwing on iTunes. Would enjoy seeing how pre-orders for people with higher profiles would perform.

I once saw a song cut the #2 to 20% and be off #1 within about that timeframe but I don't think Ariana of all people is *quite* that fanbase-reliant.
