She already has 1500 vinyl sales, I would suspect the same amount in CD physicals if not a few more....

 

Fans from around the world were able to preorder the vinyl (at least, I think they could?) but only purchases made from within the UK will count towards the UK chart.

Really like this. I particularly enjoy the trick that she gives when it starts to go a little shit at the start of the middle 8 but then she pulls it back up with the best bit of the song, which is the bit before the final chorus

She is fast becoming a "The Great Dictator Regina".

Any promotions for the single? It looks like she isn't really into promoting the single. It feels so different to ATL which she performed the song all over Europe.

Well live shows for the voice don't start until 22nd March... so that's a bit too late for Into the Blue as the release sales count only from 17th-22nd March but if she did perform then it would give a little longevity and pick up some sales.....

 

You hear Into the blue instrumental last week so I have a feeling we will see a pre-recorded version of the song on in the next few weeks and slotted into editing. Or else it will be played a lot as background music and people could notice.

 

It all depends how iTunes market it too. If it promoted on the week of release and can climb so people see it then I will be happy. Plus there are the remixes that need to be released on iTunes too. She sells a lot on her website too and the physical so hopefully pre-orders could bump it up

 

If you think Timebomb got to 31 in less than 2 days of sales and no promo then surely Into The Blue can at least get top 20. though it is going to take around 20-25k of sales for a top 10!!! I am a little nervous, but I don't think I should doubt her and the power of a new single...

No Radio 1 is long gone. It is A list radio 2 now. Fortunately commercial radio are play listing her so that will help make up for radio 1.

radio play good, TV play good..... iTunes pre-orders poor (but then again, who really pre-orders singles??)

 

where is the promo going to come from? The Voice live doesn't start until 22nd March........ (maybe pre-recorded version for battle rounds? we have already heard ITB instrumentals on there.....) and news for Jonathan Ross? Graham Norton (they don't like each other) This Morning? Loose Women? National Lottery? Alan Carr not back yet.... Dancing on Ice final? She needs to perform it on TV.........

 

There is a CD single on Amazon now...... both a remixes one and a UK CD.....

 

A lot comes down to how many she has sold on her website... I expect quite a few copies....

 

Surely people will buy on ITunes once released? This where it needs to get noticed... if it struggles on here then it may not even get top 20.... needs her fans to buy it and a few different versions... Just hope people haven't forgotten about it?

She'd be best moving the release to the 23rd so she can get the performance on The Voice to coincide with the release. She also needs a chat show like you said maybe Jonathan Ross or Graham Norton? (They don't get on??) Just hammer it everywhere!

People are too confident... you need anywhere between 20k-30k to break into the top 10 these weeks... that is a lot of sales...... people need to see it, hear it and on that week.....

 

I am confident the album will go top 5 on 1st week of release..

 

There are so many tunes in the top singles chart that are consistently selling lots of records week in week out that will be stiff competition, plus new songs from Enrque and Pixie etc will gane big sales I am sure.

 

I really hope she can somehow get a top 10, but not so sure

Confused by the formats, maybe it is time to join the dark side and only buy digital from now on.

Yes HMV still around, just a lot less. I am sure I saw cd singles in there.

 

Was there a 7 inch single too? Sold out? Was in Cape Town for three weeks so missed all the announcements.
