Both versions combined currently #9 on iTunes, neck and neck with Enrique at #8. Not doing badly!

Surely it's a bad thing?... the backing behind her this time around is far bigger than "All The Lovers", she's got ROC Nation and Sia backing this album, the last one only had the gays.

O wait... it only got released at midnight.

She's 45 dann and she's been away 4 years! We all know it gets harder every time for a female of Kylie's age. The chances of attracting new fans becomes lower and it's a struggle to hold onto existing fanbases too. So to be almost a lock for a top 10 single is not a bad thing at all. Now I'm hoping for top 5.
and All The Lovers had Radio 1 A-list support which this one doesn't have. So it all balances out.

It still has Capital support though

Sparks is a bit bland other than the "lalala" bits, boo.

To be fair she has not performed it anywhere so a top 15 chart position would be great for her. If she does perform it on the Voice on 22nd then I think they should drop price to 59p... its working for Pixie

What I am interested in is the sales she has got pre-ordered from her own website??? hoping for a lot!!!

PS. Sparks is Amazon.co.uk 11th best MP3 seller of the day so far today!

It is being hammered on radio 2 though?

And age is hardly an issue, wasn't JLO 42 when she had her biggest chart hit for years with "On The Floor"? Cher must've been in her 50s when "Believe" came out.

Yes they did have big hits at an 'older' age, but there's few examples in comparison to those who have struggled. Just think how well J-Lo's singles since have performed...

Oh of course... I was just suggesting that the backing she's had this time would warrant a top 5 hit minimum.

I actually thought this has been one of the most under-promoted K songs. For ATL, wasn't she all over UK TV doing all sorts of regional interviews? this time around., looks like they're hoping The Voice keeps her in people's minds and let the song and radio airplay do the talking. I'm hoping she gets a bigger hit with the Enrique song (and hopefully R1 support).

Radio 2 listeners are not the ones who download loads off iTunes.... that's the youngsters of Radio 1.

anyway Kylie has surpassed what I thought last week and is holding on. Lets see how it fairs for the rest of the week.... hopefully some promo will keep it up around 10-15.....

pixie lott is selling her EP at £1.20 and her single at 59p to get sales because she needs this so badly... its working but a little desperate from the record label with a brand new single

Sparks is so much better than Into The Blue

wot!

Its floating between 10 and 11, hopefully the multiple versions and physicals can help it get that official top 10 position.

'Believe' and 'On The Floor' were flukes for both artists, she's nowhere near in as strong a position as she was with the 'All The Lovers' release now.

I still think top 10 is achievable but probably no higher than #8, which is decent enough all things considered.
