Originally active between 1997 and 2002, they enjoyed huge success in both Europe and North America between 1998 and 2000, releasing two albums and eight singles, all of which made the UK Top 20. Their first four singles, "C'est la Vie", "Rollercoaster", "To You I Belong" and "Blame It on the Weatherman", all reached number one in the UK Singles Chart. On 18 October 2012, it was announced that B*Witched would reunite for the ITV2 reality-documentary series The Big Reunion, along with other pop groups of their time. In May 2013, Armaou teased the possibility of B*Witched releasing new material, saying that they were "in a really good place" and considering getting back in the recording studio. They have also unveiled a new song called "Love and Money". On October 3, Edele Lynch announced in an interview to Today FM that they were recording their third album. Barbarellas were an Irish pop duo consisting of twins Edele and Keavy Lynch, former members of pop girl group B*Witched. The duo released their debut album "Night Mode" in April 2011. The sound was very different in compare with B*Witched's music material. The duo's debut album got mixed reception from critics, and like the singles "Night Mode" and "Body Rock", did not appear in the Top 100. Shampoo (United Kingdom) http://obladoo.se/whoisjudyk/files/2012/07/shampoo2.jpg Shampoo were a British all-girl band in the 1990s, formed by Jacqui Blake and Caroline "Carrie" Askew. Shampoo combined a poppy girlishness and a love of all things plastic, kitsch, and pink (the album artwork for "We Are Shampoo" featured a collage of Barbie dolls and sweet wrappers) with a punk sensibility. Whilst their first two singles were typical of the Riot Grrl bands then coming to notice, the following year saw the release of their most famous song, "Trouble" and the album We Are Shampoo which displayed a much more radio friendly sound, but still with much of their previous abrasiveness: "Dirty Old Love Song" panned Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston (whose "I Will Always Love You" had been the previous year's biggest selling single in the UK). "Shiny Black Taxi Cab" about a night on the town gone wrong (ending with a spoken section by the 'taxi driver' complaining to a new passenger about two drunken girls who had thrown up all over his cab the previous week). "Trouble" crashed up the charts to No. 11 and landed the girls on Top Of The Pops and the cover of Smash Hits magazine. For the remainder of 1994 Shampoo did well, finding fans in both the mainstream and alternative music scenes - boosted in part by their links to Manic Street Preachers fanscene; however they also drew scathing comment from those within the small UK Riot Grrrl scene who saw the band as a repeat of We've Got A Fuzzbox And We're Gonna Use It's "sellout" to commercialism. However, by the time they released their next album "Girl Power" in 1995 (the phrase coming from a 1993 Helen Love record and much used by Riot Grrrl devotees - later used as a marketing slogan by Spice Girls), they were already in decline, and the third Shampoo album "Absolute Shampoo" was released solely on the internet in 2000, due to an inability to acquire a recording contract. The duo disbanded shortly afterwards. Top songs : - Girl Power - Trouble - Delicious - Me Hostage Good place to start : Shampoo - We Are Shampoo Edited November 10, 201311 yr by AlexRange

Aly & AJ's debut studio album "Into the Rush" was released on August 16, 2005 and certified Gold by the RIAA in March 2006. One of the album's singles, "No One", was featured in the Walt Disney Pictures feature film Ice Princess and its soundtrack. The song "Do You Believe In Magic", written and originally recorded by The Lovin' Spoonful, added a rock edge. This cover was used in the soundtrack of the made-for-TV Disney Channel original movie, Now You See It..., in which Aly had a starring role as Allyson Henlen. "Do You Believe in Magic" became their first single to enter the top twenty of the Canadian Hot 100 chart, peaking at #23 and peaked at #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Singles Sales. Into the Rush has sold 839,000 copies in the United States and 1,000,000 worldwide. The duo's second studio album "Insomniatic" was released on July 10, 2007. The album features a more electropop, electronic rock and dance-pop influenced sound different from their debut with the use of synthesizers, synth-rock guitars, vocoder, and electronic instruments. The album peaked at #15 on the Billboard 200, selling over 39,000 copies in its first week and becoming Aly & AJ's highest debut to date. The album sold 700,000 copies in the United States. The album's electropop lead single, "Potential Breakup Song" preceded their second studio album Insomniatic which was written by them, was released on June 25, 2007. "Potential Breakup Song" peaked at number 17 at Billboard's Hot 100, becoming their first top 20 single in the United States. The single was later also certified Platinum by the RIAA for sales surpassing 1,000,000 copies. In October 2007, both the single and the album were released in the United Kingdom; "Potential Breakup Song" reached a peak position of #22 in the United Kingdom, and #16 in Ireland. Time magazine named "Potential Breakup Song" one of the 10 Best Songs of 2007, ranking it at #9. M2M (Norway) http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eTmCxhi3z6Q/UKWrPUBZglI/AAAAAAAAAkI/amFdHKIAJc8/s1600/m2m.jpg M2M was a pop music duo formed by two Norwegians, Marion Elise Raven and Marit Elisabeth Larsen. They released three albums under Warner Music Norway: "Shades of Purple", "Big Room", and "The Day You Went Away: The Best of M2M", a greatest hits album released by their record label after they disbanded. The name "M2M" was chosen from a contest held for fans to give a name to the band, having been previously known as Marion & Marit. The group's first single, "Don't Say You Love Me", appeared in 1999, and was featured on the soundtrack of Pokemon: The First Movie (albeit with a small edit to the lyrics). The film helped the song to reach success worldwide, including peaking at No. 16 in the UK Singles Chart, their only hit in the UK. The duo released their first album "Shades of Purple" in 2000. It debuted at number one in Norway and entering the Top 40 for most other countries. In 2002, the duo returned with a more mature, less pop-oriented sound with their second album, The Big Room. In two years, their voices had changed, particularly Raven's. The first single from the album was "Everything" followed by "What You Do About Me". Despite "Big Room" being critically acclaimed, it was not as commercially successful as their first album. M2M saw its record company support wane. As a result of disappointing record sales, M2M was pulled in the middle of Jewel's This Way tour. Shortly after, M2M disbanded. Marion Raven was immediately signed to a solo record contract. Now both singers are currently performing as solo artists, going by their own names. Following a major success with record-breaking single "Daylight in Your Eyes" and debut album Elle'ments in 2001, a series of hit records established their position as one of the most successful female band vocalists to emerge in the early decade. They have since been ranked as both the "biggest-selling German girlband to date" and "most successful girlband in Continental Europe" by the media, with four number-one hits, three number-one albums and record sales of more than 5.0 million. In fall 2003, the members went their separate ways due to lasting exhaustion, focusing on their individual solo careers in music, theatre, television and film. In 2007, it was confirmed that four members of the original line-up, excluding original band member Vanessa Petruo, had re-formed permanently and were set to record their first studio album in over four years, Destiny (2007). A year after, the group represented Germany with their single "Disappear" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, where they finished 23rd in the final voting. After another musical hiatus, the band released a second post-reunion studio album titled Welcome to the Dance in 2009. In September 2010, Nadja Benaissa officially left the band due to private reasons, leaving No Angels as a trio (Lucy Diakovska, Sandy Mölling, Jessica Wahls). The name of the group is derived from the names of the three original members: Karen Damen, Kristel Verbeke and Kathleen Aerts. Kathleen Aerts left the group in 2009. Josje Huisman was chosen as K3's new member on October 3, 2009. The band became famous without any airplay from the regular music television channels like MTV, instead marketing directly to children via children- and cartoon-channels. Their signature is that the girls in the group all three mostly wear the same outfit. The band is mostly known as one of Europe's biggest acts and longest running girl band and they are famous for their poppy-happy songs and K3 dances. The band K3 started by Niels Williams. Initially they had female in their twenties as their target audience, which is noticeable in their early song lyrics. Their first single, "Wat ik wil" (What I want), was not very successful. In 1999 K3 participated with the song "Heyah Mama" in the live television shows to select the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. The song was not well received by one of the judges, Marcel Vanthilt, who referred to the band members as assorted meat products. Notwithstanding, "Heyah Mama" was released as a single and became the first big hit for the band. The discography of K3 is very huge and consists of 10 studio albums (include 7 number one albums in Belgium), 31 singles, 33 music videos and a number of other appearances. November 15, 201311 yr Author # 1. YVA (Lithuania) http://giba.blogas.lt/files/2011/03/popsasuzkniso_yva.jpg Who are YVA ? Maybe some hardcore Eurovision fans on this forum heard about YVA. YVA was the most popular Lithuanian group, which known for Europeans as a particapant of 2 National Finals for ESC with "Barbie" (2005) and "I Dangu" (2009). YVA was a sexy trio of singer Natalija Zvonke (now Bunke) and two female dancers. "YVA" (Ypatingai Viliojanti Atrakcija) is an abriveatura, on English it means Extremely Seductive Attraction. Formed in 2003, Yva got their big breakthrough in 2005, when their song "Berniukams" (and debut album of the same title) caused mass hysteria in Lithuania, becoming the biggest hit of the summer. Yva based their success on combination of infectious uptempo pop songs and self promotion.Natalija is probably the most recognizable face of current Lithuanian pop culture – she takes part in most of the main music events and never denies an interview. After YVA's split Natalija Bunke is a solo singer and a member of girl group Pop Ladies.
