I say this as a very big fan of Lily, but I'm actually a little underwhelmed by this. The verses are pretty good but really not a fan of the chorus, it seems a little too much over the top. I really want it to grow because her past material has been outstanding but not feeling it right now.

To retroactively become buzz single please. Or at least stronger second and third singles.

I'm pretty confident the "second" single (ie the one lauching the album) will be even bigger.

As great as this one is, it isn't as amazing as "The fear" (but nothing in this world is anyway).

It's definitely not as good as The Fear but probably better than Smile.

I love this so much more than that cover that is currently at #1. I like the cover, but this is so much better

#1 next week please

Over a million views already! :o CRAZY.

Absolutely adore this. Welcome back Lily!

I think this will work as a single now. It's so different from everything else and is trying to make a statement of what has been going on in pop culture recently.
you can hardly say the message is outdated when the whole robin thicke / miley cyrus vs. sinead o'connor thing has been THIS YEAR. it's clearly still an issue even after pink / xtin wrote those totally inspiring and original songs......
i do kinda see where ben is coming from though, but my guess that it was more of an oversight / lack of sense rather than all-out racism.
I felt like the use of all-black dancers and the "ghetto" imagery was a parody in itself, but after Lily's post I think I've been reading too much into it.
To be honest I don't really think she had any worse thoughts in her head than just making a parody of female artists in the music industry.
What was she gonna do? Have a legion of white girls twerking? That'd be a pretty desperate attempt for attention.

Variety.

Variety.

...and get the Afro-Americans going with the 'oh you're taking our culture omg retweet hashtag omg111'? Just like with Molly?

Yes.
To be fair, two of the dancers aren't black. Then there's that brief shot of the woman with pink hair (that part is so random, I feel like she hasn't been discussed at all? )
The issue isn't that her backup dancers weren't diverse enough really, more so that it shouldn't have been happening at all. It's poor and offensive satire.
