It's not really a case of "bye Gary" he is still #1 really if you only take eligible songs into account.

It only sold around 140,000+, so it was quite far from Platinum! Quite a comedown from their debut album, which sold 1,400,000+.

 

What an ironic album title given the progression of their album sales is the exact opposite of 'evolution'.

A reliable source (Joseph) has informed me 1D are releasing another 2 instant grats over the course of this week. Three cheers for pointless clutter in the chart. The question is will any of them even make the top 100 when they're all eligible next week?

 

Pointless for the singles chart as the sales won't count until next Sunday but it seems this strategy works at selling albums if we look at Eminem. The albums top10 at the mo on pre orders & could do over 100k next week.

"Girls" is really close to the top 40 with duplicates and ineligibles taken out. So now I assume they'll put it back to 99p.
