November 30, 201311 yr Author @Calum - I haven't bought it and I don't listen to albums unless I own them :P @liam - BCH is rather Wino-ish now you mention it. LISTEN to Within Temptation ;_; --- 04 | Lawson - Chapman Square Chapter II http://assets.gcstatic.com/u/apps/asset_manager/uploaded/2013/36/lawson-chapman-square-chapter-ii-cover-1378800380-custom-0.jpg UK Peak: #13 Regina Album of the Week? - Yes Top 5: ncTRRG2Ps7U 1 | Parachute 2 | Juliet 3 | Learn To Love Again 4 | Back To Life 5 | Touch MY BOYS. MA BABES. Chapman Sqaure is a 2012 album yes, but the re-issue is 2013 and I only bought the original album in 2013 too, so there. I'm not really one for boybands, even though these guys are not really a boyband in the boyband sense. Anyway, they don't set the charts alight and not many people here seem to love them, but I adore them. Adam Pitts is the sexiest drummer in a band ever and Andy Brown is a beautiful work of art. The other two are irrelevent but Joel is at least cute. Musically, this is a very strong album and the new tracks are just as strong, although I woulda preferred a new album from them, but I wont complain too much. Of all the artists, 2013 in my chart was dominated by Lawson, 4 #1's and a LOT of weeks spent at #1. LTLA spent a solid 40-ish weeks in my chart. Such brilliant music. AMAZE. And now there are only 3 left...*dramatic music*
November 30, 201311 yr @Calum - I haven't bought it and I don't listen to albums unless I own them :P Ah right B-) 'Chapter II' I actually listened to 'Parachute' too and it is AMAZING *.* (Pittsonia approve x)
November 30, 201311 yr @liam - BCH is rather Wino-ish now you mention it. LISTEN to Within Temptation ;_; I'm intending on listening to their upcoming album when it's released so I'll have a listen to their covers album too. I love their style of music. Overall, Lawson are the best out of all the current boybands - 'Standing in the Dark' and 'Learn to Love Again' are fab, 'Juliet' is catchy too.
November 30, 201311 yr Author You need to listen to Angels my dear boy (not a cover :P an original song) it was the song that got me into the band and it SUPERB. --- Pittsonia is OVER, Brodyism is ON. http://i.imgur.com/Gn1CxiO.jpg Edited November 30, 201311 yr by Regina
November 30, 201311 yr Pittsonia is OVER, Brodyism is ON. http://i.imgur.com/Gn1CxiO.jpg So has Goodeism DISSOLVED too?! Make yo mind up bitch :( x (Pittsonia live in secret caves now, we are plotting against these new religions :))
November 30, 201311 yr Author Goodeism was temporary. Brodyism has the support of Cougar Cox. Pittsonia could neva http://24.media.tumblr.com/ce64bed39f6140bd76564659eb3f0d2b/tumblr_mx144luKKg1rum6g7o6_400.jpg
November 30, 201311 yr Author 03 | Dido - Girl Who Got Away http://www.israbox.com/uploads/posts/2013-02/1362070505_cover.jpg UK Peak: #5 Regina Album of the Week? - Yes (2 Weeks) Top 5: JeR0DYTNCDA 1 | End Of Night 2 | Let's Runaway 3 | No Freedom 4 | Loveless Hearts 5 | Blackbird OH. MY. GOD. Dido came back and BOY did she come back. I aways liked her, but before No Freedom arrived, it was never LOVE, now, I LOVE her like I love cake. Such a perfect album, sadly, she has long since passed her peak in terms of success, so it has gone largely unnoticed by the world. They are missing out, some amazing typical Dido tracks and some that are a bit different but not too different to sound weird. End Of Night is a career highlight and might have even gone top 40 if it was the lead single, although No Freedom did alot better than anyone ever thought it would. Dido was another doninant force in my chart this year, both singles went to #1 for me. Plenty of uptempo stuff mixed in with some very touching and tender downtempos, just, urgh, perfect. Can we also mention how gorgeous she is? 40+ and still a stunner. ------- OH MY GOD ONLY TWO MORE TO COME WHO IS OUT ON TOP AND WHO IS 2? ARE YOU AS SUPER EXCITED AS ADAM? http://i.imgur.com/GWuvbjO.jpg
November 30, 201311 yr 'Girl Who Got Away' Such an AMAZING comeback! Great to see 'End of Night' and 'Blackbird' in your highlights too <3
November 30, 201311 yr I liked Girl Who Got Away but I'd prefer listening to her Greatest Hits rather than one of her albums. I much prefer 'No Freedom' to 'End of Night' although both are great. I wouldn't rule out Alanis Morissette being #1. :P
November 30, 201311 yr Author *Hype building* Down to the final two albums now. One of them is kinda predictable considering how much I have looned for the artist, the other, not so easy to guess. Neither of them made much, or any, impact in the UK...or indeed anywhere, sadly. Basically, both are all killer and no filler. After you listen to them in full, you are like: http://i.imgur.com/RU14ULC.gif because they are sonic orgasms from start to finish. Hyped?
November 30, 201311 yr Ooh Dido not #1! I'm shocked actually, and Lawson even lower. Can't think of what could be #1 right now.
November 30, 201311 yr Author The greatest chart battle of all time is finally upon us...... http://i.imgur.com/pSbf3qi.gif 02 | Jon McLaughlin - Holding My Breath http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/500/93406569/Holding%20My%20Breath%20Jon%20McLaughlin%20Holding%20My%20Bre.png UK Peak: DNC Regina Album of the Week? - Yes (2 Weeks) Top 5: Wo-OXhyFMkk 1 | Fire Away 2 | Imaginary Tea 3 | Throw It On The Fire 4 | Doesn't Mean Goodbye 5 | Broken Hearted Like, yeah. OMG. Jon McLaughlin. I highly doubt any of you know who he is or what his music is like, and frankly, you are missing out BIG TIME. I was first alerted to his existance when he appeared in Enchanted, he sang the STUNNING So Close (OSCAR NOMINATED) while Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey tripped the light fantastic. This guy has so many random EP's and songs that are not on his main albums, it's insane really. HMB is his most recent album and is a masterpiece. Most of the songs are mid to down tempo and they spill with emotion and touching lyrics. Case in point, the song I posted above, which he wrote for his baba girl (Sealing his DILF status) it's STUNNING and I encourage y'all to give it a listen. The album is probably not for everyone, it's alot more mellow than some of his other stuff, but he sings every song so beautifully and writes amazingly well. He also plays the piano like a boss. So yeah, give him a go. His voice, is just so stunning, as is his face, and body. He is one of the most underrated singers ever IMO, so much so, youtube doesn't have alot of the studio versions of his songs, Fire Away being one of them. GRR. ALSO, his version of Smash Into You by Beyonce is a million times better than hers and shows clearly what I hate about her, she has all the vocal gymnastics but none of the emotion. 01 | Tarja - Colours In The Dark http://www.tarja2013.com/wp2/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Tarja_Colours-In-The-Dark_Standard.jpg UK Peak: #109 Regina Album of the Week? - Yes (2 Weeks) Top 5: -MLU25MQU9w 1 | Never Enough 2 | Deliverance 3 | Neverlight 4 | Victim Of Ritual 5 | 500 Letters TARJA, one half of my dream lesbian power couple SHARJA (It will happen one day) She was a founder and lead singer of rock band Nightwish, but she was sacked by the other members via an open letter on their website. Harsh (they also recently sacked her replacement while she was in hospital) I was never a mad fan of Tarja-era NW, but they had some amazing songs. Tarja didn't leave it long before going solo properly (She released a Finnnish X-mas album, Henkäys Ikuisuudesta) and it was a masterpiece. CITD is her most recent album and is by far her best. Her previous two studio albums (My Winter Storm and What Lies Beneath) were great but seemed to lack something, Colours In The Dark has shown that she has found it. If you like rock/metal music performed by a skilled classically trained singer, this is for you. I was blown away by this album when i first heard it. All of the songs sound like they could be in a movie soundtrack, Deliverance especially, it's a massive and expressive love song with a truely amazing production. Tarja's voice is really out of this world, she controls it SO well and pours so much emotion into every word, whether it is love, hate, anger, happiness. Anything. Probably not to alot of peoples taste here, but she is not too far into the Metal genre that it's scary (no growls etc) As with Jon, I think she deserves a listen or two tbh. Into The Sun, a bonus track, is a stunning ballad and needs an honourary mention. Edited November 30, 201311 yr by Regina

November 30, 201311 yr I was hoping Tarja would take it when I saw she was in your top 2. Always gonna support her, haven't listened to the album a lot but what I have heard I do like, so very good #1 album. (have not actually heard any of the rest of your top 10 aside from Katy so can't really comment there)
