December 10, 201311 yr Ah that's fine, thought it'd be something stupid like 20/1 because the fake is doing well on iTunes & the videos already top 10. If it's as big as people say it could well be the first no1 of the yr & with decent sales in a week that the iTunes sales are usually dominant!
December 10, 201311 yr When's Timber out? 30th December 'Timber' most certainly will be no. 1, but my guess is for one week only. Hardwell surely has it in the bag the week after.
December 12, 201311 yr I'm actually thinking that Pharrell could challenge for #1 at some point. 'Happy' is just a smash waiting to happen. I get 'Get Lucky'/'Blurred Lines' vibes.
December 12, 201311 yr Not that I particularly like the song, but I can see Hey Brother being the first number 1 of 2014.
December 22, 201311 yr Going further, my predictions for the #1s of Jan/early Feb Pitbull feat. Ke$ha 'Timber' Pitbull feat. Ke$ha 'Timber' (the only challenger here is Hardwell and I can't see him going near #1) will.i.am ft. Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, French Montana & DJ Mustard - Feelin' Myself The Vamps – Wild Heart (unless there's a big out of the blue Jan hit, Beyonce and OneRepublic/Alesso could prove to be challengers) Gorgon City ft. MNEK - Ready For Your Love
December 23, 201311 yr I can't really see The Vamps going #1 to be honest, perhaps Top 5 before a chart run shorter than the one for 'Can We Dance'. Mind you, they could always release about 20 versions of 'Wild Heart' like they did previously as a chance of making the top spot. :P
December 23, 201311 yr I think The Vamps could get #1, since they managed to get #2 when they were fairly unknown, and they probably gained more fans since, and also sales could be low on their release week.
December 23, 201311 yr So "Timber" for week 1 then a Pharrell/Pitbull battle for week 2. Will.i.am could challenge for week 3 and then The Vamps should get week 4. Chris Malinchak and Clean Bandit out on 19 January should both do well too, but I can't see either challenging for #1. Anyone got any post-album tracks/singles they can see being big in January? Beyonce's "XO" is the only one I can think of/hope for. Miley's "Adore You"? The video preview certainly suggests it'll be another talking point.
December 23, 201311 yr The Vamps are almost a certainty for #1 really. I'd love Clean Bandit's new song to cause an upset, but that's probably hoping for too much Gorgon City looks likely too. Hope Katy B & Chris Malinchak can do something as well (assuming the latter actually gets radio support this time :()
December 24, 201311 yr Ugh Timber, William & The Vamps could be the first no1s of 2014 sounds like a terrible start to the year!
December 24, 201311 yr The Vamps are almost a certainty for #1 really. Why - how many dozen versions will they be releasing this time?
December 24, 201311 yr I just listened to Wild Heart, wasn't impressed after the greatness of Can We Dance.
