Christina Aguilera) - Feel This Moment 5jlI4uzZGjU One day when my light is glowing, i'll be in my castle golden ... Kicking off my top 100 we have comeback queen Lily Allen who is this years John Lewis "cute but safe" cover in the form of Keane. I am delighted she has had so much success ... but I would have much preffered if this had swapped chart success with the far superior "Hard Out Here". Regardless, I am VERY excited for new stuff from her next year! At #99 we have Stooshe who had a fairly successfull era last year, but it went downhill quickly as they followed up their biggest hit with a lame version of "Waterfalls". I think "Slip" could have done much better if it was released after "Black Heart" instead of that. Ah well. I do love the song, but in retrospect it isn't all that memorable really. At #98 we have chart debuts AlunaGeorge with their debut single "Attracting Flies" ... I love the production on it, the lyrics and everything but I cant help but feel that they are perhaps a little overrated ... especially on here! At #97 we have one of my biggest surprise discoveries of the year, Bastille who I was not expecting to enjoy half as much as I currently do! "Things We Lost In The Fire" is my least favourite of their singles but it still has a strong chorus and clever lyrics to make it enter the Top 100. At #96 we have one of the biggest dance songs of the year from Rudimental. This probably would have been much higher if it wasnt raped in clubs/radio/TV quite as much and as great as the chorus is she is essentially repeating the same line over ... and over ... and over. At #95 we have Paramore with one of the weaker songs off of their current album but it is still fairly catchy and a lot of fun. At #94 we have one of the most forgotten about rappers in the UK, Wiley, it always just feels like he is sort of THERE. His music is nothing groundbreaking but he makes for a good easy listen with fairly decent production, Reload isn't anything astounding but it is nice enough. At #93 we have turtle faced Conor Maynard with the last single from his debut album, Animal. The production on it is fairly slick and I do actually really enjoy his JT-esque voice. I just always think he is capable of that little bit more but I do think he is probably one of the best UK pop male artists currently around ... not like that is saying much mind you. At #92 we have Le Youth bringing Cassie back into fashion with their remix of Me & U ... as much as I love their version, it annoys me greatly when people say it is superior to Cassie. NO. JUST NO. Poor old Cassie! Finally we have #91, my ultimate guilty pleasure that is Pitbull and his collab with queen diva Christina Aguilera in the very tacky but equally amazing Feel This Moment ... I always enjoy attempting the over the top woaaaah oh ohs Xtina does when singing.
December 10, 201311 yr Author 10 // The Saturdays - Living For The Weekend zLJC-BO_LJI 01 What About Us 02 Not Giving Up 03 Disco Love 09 // Naughty Boy - Hotel Cabana Wv6YHNTWcsU 01 Get Lucky (ft. Tanika) 02 Pluto (ft. Emeli Sandé & Wretch 32) 03 Hollywood (ft. Gabrielle) To kick things off in my Top 10 albums of the year (lets be honest, albums were mostly shocking this year) is The Saturdays. It is very lacklustre compared to their previous albums and probably the worst they have done, but still has a couple of gems in it. Not Giving Up is a clear highlight and ought to be huge for them if they ever release it ... knowing them they will either move straight onto the next album or release something random like "The Problem With Love". Whilst none of his singles have particularly impressed me, I thought I would check out Naughty Boys album out of curiosity and I am glad I did. It is pretty cohesive throughout, nothing AMAZING in there but as an album it works quite nicely. The highlight for me is strangely his cover of Get Lucky with Tanika who I am looking forward to hearing more from next year. I dare say it is even better than the original version of Get Lucky too.
December 10, 201311 yr Some fantastic song in there!! Xtina is my fave  It charted in my top 200 :) Living For The Weekend
December 10, 201311 yr Somewhere Only We Know is GORGEOUS. Hoping Hard Out Here can make an appearance. Gutted Slip turned out to be a flop in the charts, although it was an improvement on Waterfalls I guess.
December 10, 201311 yr 'Hotel Cabana' Have you heard the live version of 'Get Lucky' that Naughty Boy and Tanika performed at the Jingle Bell Ball? :o

Justin Bieber) - #thatPOWER DGIgXP9SvB8 I'm loving every second, minute, hour ... 81 // Pink (ft. Lily Allen) - True Love zsmUOdmm02A Sometimes I wonder how we ever came to be, but without you I'm incomplete At #90 we probably have the most universally hated Saturdays song to exist, theyre worst performing (I think?) and is just generally a hot ass MESS. Why they ever chose it as a single is BEYOND me. I do still love it though, the rap and theres a factor to it that makes it so bad that it is almost good. Still probably their worst single to date though. At #89 we have the first of three simultaneous back to back X Factor aluminee with Misha B and her last single "Heres To Everything (Ooh La La)" ... a glorious song which deserved much better and is pretty much forgotten about everywhere now. She always deserved much much more but people still annoyingly see her as a bully for whatever stupid reason. Oh well. We are then followed with someone who didnt even get a release in Cher Lloyd and her initially promising comeback in "I Wish" which received no airplay or support whatsoever so got cancelled (well thats what I think anyway?). A shame really, it is probably the best thing she has put her name to along side "Want U Back". Fair to say her days are over. Much like Diana Vickers who put out some surprisingly GOOD stuff out this year including comeback single "Cinderella" which you never realise how good it is until you actually go back to listen to it, nothing groundbreaking, but a nice summery pop song. At #86 we have someone who I thought would have at least had a Top 20 hit, its Little Nikki Says with her almost self-titled song. It is a nice catchy number, kind of similar to Antenna in a way (which is still to come) and has a memorable hook yet didnt even get a Top 40 placing. Still so good though and one to always get crunk to at pre drinks! Talking of which we have my new drunken JAM at #85 with Mike Will Made It who is probably one of the producers of the year in my eyes, his debut single "23" is a hot ass mess but I love it so much, Miley trying to be ghetto is an absolute highlight. So ridiculously catchy too. We then have a more serious hip hop song and one of the first to ever tackle the issue of homophobia thanks to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis who are definetly one of the best new talents to emerge this year. The song I thought was amazing and I had it as high as the Top 20 of the year when I first heard it, but strangely the more success it got lessened that. As great as a message it has, as poweful as the video and lyrics are ... its just kind of a poor song structurally and has a boring melody. I do still like it though, just not as much after repeated listens. At #83 we have someone who I hope manages to find great success next year, it is Tanika with her debut solo single "Bad 4 U". I was first impressed with her when I heard her on Naughty Boys stunning cover of "Get Lucky", and this song made me love her even more. She has a great voice, and I love her style ... reminds me of Delilah a lot in some ways too. Hopefully she gets the success she deserves in 2014. At #82 we have one of my biggest guilty pleasures of the year thanks to will.i.am. On paper I should hate it, I absolutely loathe will.i.am and Justin Bieber so together it should be unbearable especially with a title as horrible as "#thatPOWER" ... but it is so annoyingly infectious, that chorus refuses to leave your head and it has a uplifting vibe about it. Finally at #81 we have the first of two Pink songs on my countdown, this time "True Love" with a little help from Lily Allen - I wasn't sure on it at first, but it is just so catchy and despite what some others say I do think Lily adds a little something to it.
December 12, 201311 yr Author 08 // Miley Cyrus - Bangerz i0zkP5F81Ds 01 We Cant Stop 02 Wrecking Ball 03 Maybe You're Right 07 // Justin Timberlake - 20/20 Experience (Part I) 07FYdnEawAQ 01 Mirrors 02 Let The Groove In 03 Tunnel Vision At #08 in albums we have one of my most anticipated albums of the year, but ultimately it was such a disappointment! :( The two lead singles were SO strong and really had me longing for more, but it was all sort of wishy washy and not enough big hooks for a pop album imo. Some have grown on me, Maybe You're Right doesn't get near enough love, so good! Would make an amazing single. At #07 we have another comeback king in the form of Justin Timberlake, 20/20 Experience really disappointed me initially but it is one of those albums you have to give a chance, once you do and it grows on you, it is phenomenal. So slick and so so good. I haven't heard the 2nd part yet, but it is on my to do list. Edited December 12, 201311 yr by Jack
December 13, 201311 yr True Love, #thatPOWER, Same Love, Little Nikki Says, Cinderella, Here's to Everything and Gentleman  Also really like the Cher and Tanika songs too, shame the former has just evaporated completely, deserved a lot more even if it's, IMO, far from her best.
December 13, 201311 yr Where has Misha B gone and why is she not HUGE?! I've loved all of her singles and it's criminal that she flopped hard with this :/ YES for Tanika too. Think she could get a hit with this if it gets any support. Still not heard 'Bangerz' or anything apart from the two singles :o
December 13, 201311 yr What an absolute dreadful way to start you top 100. ' Somewhere Only We Know' and ' Slip'. I thought you had better taste Jack. 'Waiting All Night' is rather overrated, I've never seen the fuss regarding the song, it didn't deserve to smash as much as it did! Poor ' Gentleman ' what a flop, couldn't even chart top 75. I completely forgot about Misha B ' Here's To Everything ' what a flop! Speaking of flops following Misha B you have Cher Lloyd and Diana Vickers.

Ayah Marar) - Thinking About You cl3b7dDBLpo There's no other way I could be without you babe At #80 we kick things off with Bastille's mashup of Rhythm Is A Dancer / Rhythm Of The Night and most people say it is uninspired and not very good, I think the complete opposite and that they add something new and fresh to it! At #79 we have the first of four Rihanna entries on my countdown, this time in the form of Right Now, which was predicted to be a huge hit initially but all hype died down and it ended up being the worst performing of all of the singles from Unapologetic, but I guess that is what happens when you don't even bother releasing a video for a song. I really enjoy it anyway, nothing groundbreaking obviously but still a good party anthem. We then have Rudimental's second and final entry on my countdown with the gorgeous Right Here, but I just love everything Foxes touches really. The video is beautiful too. At #77 we have flop girlgroup Fifth Harmony with their Demi Lovato esque "Miss Movin On". They annoy the f*** out of me with their spazzy happy WE LOVE JESUS personalities so I am kind of glad they flopped but I do adore the song, it is kind of basic, but I just cannot deny that chorus. At #76 we have Slutena Gomez who is easily the most overrated disney girl in my opinion and I despised Come And Get It, but her Till The World Ends tribute in "Slow Down" is a damn good pop song. At #75 we have flop comeback queens Mutya Keisha Siobhan with their very impressive debut and most likely only single "Flatline" which really was a welcome form to return for them ... shame it did not reflect well in the charts. At #74 we have one of my favourite dance songs of the year and my soundtrack to the summer in Ray Foxx's Boom Boom (Heartbeat) which is just incredibly infectious. At #73 we have even more Miley, this time with Snoop Lion in the light and breezy Ashtrays And Heartbreaks which REALLY deserved a little bit more recognition. At #72 we have my slow jam of the year in Miguel's Adorn, so ridiculously slick and sexy, a crime that it did not even go Top 40 in the UK! Finally at #71 we have one of Calvin Harris' better singles from his 18 Months era, the very summery Thinking About You which sounded amazing this summer.
December 13, 201311 yr 'Adorn'  One of the songs of the YEAR for me very easily. Check out his other singles/album if you can, they're all delicious.
December 13, 201311 yr Boom Boom (Heartbeat) and Slow Down are absolutely amazing, shame the latter is doing/is gonna do shockingly here. :( Right Here is my favourite Rudimental single actually, I didn't like the first two, Waiting All Night got old quickly and Free is a bit dull.
December 13, 201311 yr Author 06 // Britney Spears - Britney Jean qwLKHATMzfI 01 Til Its Gone 02 Work Bitch 03 Perfume 04 Body Ache 05 Now That I Found You 05 // Katy Perry - Prism t4D5egXVqSg 01 Walking On Air 02 Dark Horse (ft. Juicy J) 03 Unconditionally 04 Roar 05 This Is How We Do Here we have two albums I was majorly hyped up for but were a dramatic dip in quality from the albums that preceded them sadly. I do still love both of them and they are better than most other basic bitches albums, but still, I was hoping for better. Britneys claimed to be her "most personal" yet but I am yet to see what is so personal and raw about the likes of "Tik Tik Boom" and "Work Bitch", dont get me wrong, the album is really good but come on Britney. Til Its Gone & Body Ache are two obvious non single highlights and Til Its Gone ought to have been the lead single in all honesty. At #05 we have Prism, which, whilst I like often felt a bit self indulgent and preachy with the ballads ... as much as I love a good ballad, some of it was overkill. Ghost is the worst song I have heard from her personally ... any song that talks about sending a text and the consequences of hitting the send button is never a good one. However it does have some MAJOR highlights in the form of the euphoric Walking On Air, the risky Dark Horse, the beautiful Unconditionally and party anthem This Is How We Do ... and then some of the ballads are actually quite good, its just when they are bad, they are really bad. Goes to show how good this year has been for albums when this can still chart as high as #05.
