To me those X-Factor winner's singles are pretty much the lowest form of music anyway, but at least this isn't quite as bad as James Arthur's brutal murder of 'Impossible'.
It is a boring Christmas week in both charts, there has been an underwhelming amount of new releases all round this year although having a solo Gary Barlow album this year had made up for that im just loving seeing him do so well solo wise.
Sam Bailey now dark pink, looks like everybody who wanted her single at first has got it.

New 59p Batch

The Killers - Mr Brightside

Florence & The Machine - You've Got The Love

Psy - Gangnam Style

Calvin Harris Feat Ellie Goulding - I Need Your Love

Breach - Jack

Rihanna - Only Girl

t.A.t.U - All The Things She Said

Flo Rida Feat Sia - Wild Ones

Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

Nicki Minaj - Starships

The Saturdays Feat Sean Paul - What About Us

Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling

Jason Derulo - The Other Side

Robyn - Dancing On My Own

Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger

Flo Rida - Whistle

Jessie J - It's My Party

Stooshe - Black Heart

Disclosure - White Noise

Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child

Nelly - Hey Porsche

I wish 'Only Girl (In the World)' would re-enter the top 40 due to the 59p discount. That song sums up the fall of 2010 for me. Such great music at the end of that year.

I liked late 2010 for the charts as well. Loads of great songs doing well every week, although Just the Way You Are and Forget You were driving me crazy with practically every station in the country playing them on an hourly basis for months. Only Girl did absolutely incredibly in the charts. One of my favourite Rihanna dance-pop songs along with SOS and Who's That Chick. The rest of them are forgettable to me, personally.

Breach - Jack

I'm glad they discounted this, if only to help prevent his second single out-selling it. Not that it's a bad song, I really like it, but Jack seemed so much bigger. And it's a great example of an underground hit rising to the mainstream. I think Jack's sales were hurt by the fact that most people knew it many months before its release, and also it's not got as broad appeal (i.e. a lot of people would hate it).

What About Us back in the Top 40 after TOTP / Gift card? :D

' What About Us ' being 59p now is the perfect decision, it should ensure that they are in the EOY top 40 now come the New Year.

35 35 383,700 Saturdays What About Us 383,700 30/03/13 1

36 36 380,900 Jessie J Wild 380,900 08/06/13 5

37 37 364,200 Jason Derulo Other Side 364,200 29/06/13 2

38 38 363,500 Calvin Harris ft Tinie Tempah Drinking From The Bottle 437,000 10/11/12 5

39 43 358,837 Eminem ft Rihanna Monster 358,837 09/11/13 1

40 39 354,800 James Arthur Impossible 1,251,700 22/12/12 1

' The Monster ' and ' Skyscraper ' should overtake ' What About Us '. I'm just hoping that it manages to pass 400,000 sooner rather than later!

Have the guest performers on Text Santa been announced yet? I'm sure all performers will gain some sort of boost!

59p Songs In The Top 300.

19. Demi Lovato - Skyscraper & #173

29. The Killers - Mr Brightside

69. Rizzle Kicks - Skip To The Good Bit

138. The 1975 - Girls

147. Dizzee Rascal Feat Teddy Sky - Love This Town

207. Breach - Jack

228. Psy - Gangnam Style

300. Gabrielle Aplin - The Power Of Love

Hopefully 'Mr. Brightside' being reduced should secure its place in the top 40 this week :D

Leona is back up to  #3 while Baily is decreasing more. I thought she'd start to increase again in the morning! :o

Obviously she still has a huge lead for Christmas number 1 and the granny buying physicals thing.

I ams still hopeful Sam Bailey will have much higher physical sales than previous winners

Daybreak did very well for Leona big increase, still cannot believe Gary Barlow + Elton only 50

"The Monster" video has been released, hopefully it'll stick around in the T10 over Christmas and into the New Year now.

"Unconditionally" only as high as #19? Not really sure where this'll peak now, could miss the T20; which isn 't good after "Roar". "Walking On Air" for single #3!

Has Drake's "Too Much" done anything? Radio 1 are loving it, but I don't recall seeing appear in the T100.

Which days do Christmas songs really sour? In relation to the previous years? I'd guess from this coming Thursday until Christmas eve?

Yeah, Unconditionally might end up Katy's lowest-peaking single in a while. They already confirmed Dark Horse as single #3 (Katy's not the type that would release different singles in different countries, so I assume it's the same for the UK).

And:

144. Drake - Too Much

290. Sampha - Too Much
