Ellie has done pretty well with the CIN track, I do think she has got the BRITs female award in the bag for next year. I just hope she gets a nomination.

I don't think there is one. People rather buy albums.

Big days are after Christmas when the gift cards period starts :D

Drunk in Love might be heading for top 10 on iTunes?! :o I wonder if they'll stick with XO or change the single, since XO is lower than even a couple of other album tracks.
Interestingly the "album only" version of Happy (Pharrell Williams) is still charting (#78), although it is album only now for more than 48 hours? So the iTunes chart might not be a 48 hour rolling chart but more?

Looks like 99% of people in the world didn't think 'XO' was the first single, huh? :P

It does look like that is the case. Need to keep an eye on how much longer it remains in the feed.

Surprised at how low 'XO' is, isn't it supposed to be the single? Though 'Drunk In Love' being the highest is not surprising. (Incidentally, I wonder if it was intentional that she's released another song featuring Jay-Z that is called '[x] In Love' or if that's just a coincidence?)

If Capital and Radio 1 get told to playlist XO, then it will still end up that way. People don't download songs on album release week because they think it's the single anyway. Like when Rihanna's album was released Talk That Talk got more downloads than You Da One on its first week even though You Da One was already being promoted as the single at the time.

Probably intentional I think. Jay-Z is also releasing the Beyonce collab from his album as his next single in January, and that's called Part II (On the Run), which is also a reference to one of their earlier hits, Bonnie & Clyde.

Yikes... shortest run at iTunes #1 for an XF winner ever surely?
Ouch! X-Factor really needs a revamp next year if they want to prevent this happening again.

 18. Beyoncé - Drunk in Love (feat. Jay Z)

Also really happy to see 'Mine' top 40! The best  Shocked 'XO' isn't higher but i don't think it's really being promoted as a single over here yet?

120. Beyoncé - Blue (feat. Blue Ivy) - could Blue Ivy be the youngest person to ever chart :o

They also both have tracks called 'Heaven' on their most recent albums. Really must be love :D

They just need a more relevant winner (although I expect Impossible was the last mega winner's single that the competition will ever produce). I love Sam but she's about as much of a singles artist as Steve Brookstein was. This isn't an age thing (Pharrell is 4 years older than her!), more the type of music that she sings. Most of her voters will have probably been older women saying 'ooh how lovely' when she performed but having no intention of actually buying any of her music.
