It's been explained in the thread. The whole soundtrack has been made album-only and a single version of Happy has been put out.

It's partially down to the fact that there's been little new releases and therefore low sales, meaning she can hold up better, but also due to the fact that she's been promoting it a fair bit still. She was on Wossy a couple of weeks ago and on the final of Xtra Factor at the weekend (minor boost if anything but could contribute still).

Is there any reason for this climb, it was from her last album wasn't it? :unsure: I really hope I never have to hear this as I fear it will be another mauling of one of the most underrated and beautiful songs of recent years :( (see also People Help The People)

 

I suspect it's nothing more than people trawling iTunes for songs with 'Winter' or Christmas' in their title...

 

As for the rest of it - I've yet to hear a Birdy cover that I haven't liked more than the original!
