I dont really like the song, its ok but i preferred nearly all her other performances throughout the show, i wanted her to win though and i hope she does well.

I do really really like it actually. The original is aural perfection but Sam did it a hell of a lot better than I expected!

Every year i always get my daughter the X Factor winners single so i will be keeping the tradition up as she has them all.

I love this song always have, People say am crazy but.. I think Sam's version is miles better than Demi's. Just my opinion tho! Still love Demi's of course.

Absolutely LOVE the studio version. I've always loved the SONG but Sam's cover absolutely rights what I never overly liked about the original - Demi's raspy vocals.

I don't mind it but she could have made it a bit different ("made it her own", to use that awful cliche). It's like a carbon copy. -_-

Quite a lot better than the original. Which is saying absolutely nothing. It's a fairly average song even with a competent vocalist.

I like some of the production on the studio version but it's not right without the power and emotion that Demi delivers with her vocals. Not a cover I'll be going back to time and time again (and as glad as I am that the song has had more recognition this year, I do not want it becoming known as the Sam Bailey song).

The studio version is lovely, I'm glad she's done it well enough to impress me given the original is a song I hold so dear. Her recording voice is so good! It is going to be beyond annoying that, like Impossible, this version will be better known though :(

I'll basically repeat what I said in the X Factor final thread - Sam really needed song that suits her bigger vocal range, 'Skyscraper' needs a more delicate vocalist where the struggle to give the chorus proper power is all part of the emotional package. Sometimes I love when singers' vocals crack if it's because of the emotional storytelling they're doing.

 

I'd say I'd be more interested in Sam's next single, but I doubt they'll be catering to my tastes - which is fair enough!

There is literally no difference between this and Demi's version apart from the vocals and the drum beat in the final chorus.

Morrisons had this when I went in tonight, so I bought it YAY (x1000) :cheer: £5 though (:o), worth it for my Sam :wub:

 

I think I can safely say I prefer this to the original a hell of a lot more too.
