Posted December 17, 201311 yr Has anyone else seen this? I saw it yesterday and it was great! The most surprising thing for me, was that it was actually a little unpredictable and had a unique concept, whilst keeping the warmth and charm of classic Disney animations. All the songs were great and I think this is far better than the good (but overrated!) 'Tangled'. Olaf the snowman is absolutely adorable.
December 17, 201311 yr I've seen it twice! Brilliant film, Disney on form. It's a shame it'll most likely be pushed aside to 'only shown in the run up to Christmas' status, I think I still prefer 'Tangled' (probably my favourite non-Pixar Disney (I'm old-school, I know)) but this is certainly ALMOST there especially since the ending isn't competely predictable!
December 17, 201311 yr i'm going to see this with my sister on thursday, heard good things about it :)
December 27, 201311 yr My new all-time # 1 favourite cartoon. I can't believe, but "Frozen" is even better, than wonderful "Tangled".
December 27, 201311 yr It was pretty good, but the story felt slightly oddly paced and was very predictable. Let It Go is AMAZING though, like properly, properly BRILLIANT.
January 2, 201411 yr Let it go was a great song and I thought the movie would be pathetic (thought everything was cheap knock offs from other movies by trailer). Was one of the best films in recent years!
January 4, 201411 yr I saw it for the second time today in 3D. It is fantastic, I just purchased the soundtrack a few minutes ago on amazon :D
January 4, 201411 yr I've been kind of obsessed with Let It Go the last week, now that my Christmas playlist has been shelved for another 10 months.
January 6, 201411 yr The film did feel a bit paper thin and scattershot at times, but I liked the message (both the importance of sisterly love and female solidarity + the acceptance of the big gay other, exemplified by the diva-tastic Let It Go), the attempt at subversion (which seems to be part of the quota nowadays in a post Shrek world) and the rather adorable fact that Olaf the snowman dreamed of nothing more than summer (winter is a good time to stay in and cuddle, but put me in summer and I'll be a...HAPPY SNOWMAN!), but he did feel a bit one note, even more than usual for a sidekick character. The animation and design of the kingdom was also pretty lovely on the whole (nothing is more evocative for me than a harbour town with creaking ships at anchor <3) Edited January 14, 201411 yr by Daniel.
January 13, 201411 yr Saw this on Saturday and it was utterly amazing! 'Let It Go' was pretty incredible! *.*
January 16, 201411 yr I really wasn't up for watching this at all, but oh my, it was great. Touching, funny and beautifully animated. The whole Let It Go sequence was stunning and I've since watched it on Youtube about 20 times. Brilliant song, and I really hope it gets the Oscar.
January 22, 201411 yr Goodness, first "Paranorman" with their gayness and now "Frozen". I'm kidding, this film is in another league for Disney films. It certainly will keep the gays and feminists happy :)
January 24, 201411 yr Well tbh it will make me even happier if Disney start doing fairytales with actual GAY characters for a change. Could be quite FUN :D

January 24, 201411 yr On ParaNorman? If yes, then you really are! It's a tremendously funny, witty and charming animated movie.
January 24, 201411 yr On ParaNorman? If yes, then you really are! It's a tremendously funny, witty and charming animated movie. *gasps in shock* and all this time i thought it was some sort of horror movie like they'd show on halloween or something now i'm going to have to watch it next time it's on
January 25, 201411 yr Well tbh it will make me even happier if Disney start doing fairytales with actual GAY characters for a change. Could be quite FUN :D 5. Oaken's gay family Hey, did you notice the gay character? I didn't either, until I went to see the film a second time. It turns out that giant man in "Wandering Oaken's Trading Post and Sauna" is probably gay. When he throws in the sauna package for Kristoff, he turns to say "Hello, family!" and BAM! there they are. The adult in the sauna is clearly implied to be his husband. Best yet, Oaken and his partner have a family — and it's not even a thing. In the few minutes that he's on screen, Disney manages to make a compelling character of Oaken. He is friendly to his customers and generous with his assistance. He's a savvy businessman who understands economics (supply and demand, Kristoff), and he isn't afraid to stand up for himself when Kristoff calls him a crook. http://s3.amazonaws.com/inarticles/b9e9acf4d35b3193fdc7af9e4d40fe20.gifhttp://www.policymic.com/articles/79455/7-...sney-movie-ever
January 25, 201411 yr I noticed that also ^^ I mean ABC laps at up the gays... I'm surprised it's taken them this long to convert it to Disney!
