Ooo exciting! We've yet to get the name of the track she worked with Diane Warren on.

'You Knew Me When' is the Diane Warren track.

Leona just premiered an album track on Radio 2 - it's called 'Essence Of Me' and was written by Leona and Toby Gad.

Thoughts? I missed it.

Very bland and boring. Sounds like something that was leftover from the Echo sessions. The lyrics are so cliche. I'm really concerned something this dull made the album.

I like the song, I see working as an insta grat when the album is up for pre-order. I wish the bridge and the final chorus were bigger as would be a greater track. Now I see more the sense when Leona says the album is earthy, cuz this song give you that earthy and ethereal vibe love the e-e-e-e-e part. I do not see as a single but still an amazing album track

I think it is a really stunning track. You can tell it came straight from Leona's mind.

It's nice. That's it. I can see what it's trying to achieve but imo it doesn't QUITE get there....

I don't think it is trying to achieve anything. It's very Echo-esque in the sense it is very spiritual and, as Leona put it, earthy. I don't think it is single material (or at least not second or third single material) but I'd like to see a music video for it at some point.

It's nice as an album track - very 'Echo' as has been mentioned already.
I agree, fantastic album track! Reminds me of the 'Echo' sound too.

At 1:49/50 she holds my hand in the IGY video. *_* Honestly these songs are so amazing! The videos/audio doesn't do them justice and on top of that Leona was ill but still delivered.

Nice post, Envoirment. Glad you have fun. It's hard to make out the brilliance of the songs, but it appears they both went well with the crowd. ALS seems to have very stand out instrumentals, but as my earphones are broken, I couldn't catch the melody.

Essence of Me gave me a very nice 4th single vibe, say for Nov-December. It's very sultry RnB that could fly very well with the Rihanna/Beyonce (Umbrella/Halo) crowd. I really see that kind of populist potential for it, with younger 14-30 females being its key demo. Lovely track. I really like the bridge. As for FUMF, that was a great lead single choice and the definite album sell. It has the kind of AC vibe that really sucks in the album-buying market. Looking forward to that big memorable performance that could go viral.

It seems every song is about Syco then?

Not really, You Knew Me When wasn't written by Leona, by Diane Warren, so maybe a love song. I Got You isn't about Syco. Thank You is about her parents. Another Love Song is a love song.

And we don't know for sure what Ladders and Power are about either.
