Good to see the album climbing into the top 100 on amazon! Hopefully X-factor will use a Leona song in the background or something on tomorrow's episode to help a little. The album will hopefully rise quite a bit come Monday onwards with her on BBC Breakfast monday and Lorraine thursday. Plus she has some other promo in between and afterwards. :)

Is she performing on BBC Breakfast?

Don't know if she's performing, but she should at least have an interview with them which should help.

Power is really connecting with me. I think it would have made an excellent comeback single. I can only hope she's saving it for her 3rd single so that it can tie in with an X Factor - or more likely Strictly performance.

I didn't realise Leona had The Libertines in addition to Bring Me the Horizon and Stereophonics. I can see something like Jess Glynne or Weeknd sneaking into the top 5, too. So I'd say #5 for Leona but on quite decent sales for #5.

Oh I didn't realise either! I Leona might miss the top 5 and chart #6-#8 looking at the competition. I think The Libertines/Bring Me To The Horizon/Stereophonics/The Weeknd/Jess Glynne will be ahead of her. I'm hoping promotion will really help the album out. I think she'll need 15-20k to chart inside the top 5 given the tough competition. I can see her doing ~12k first week.

I don't know how much they usually sell (the libertines) because I don't know them but they're currently somewhere end top200. Unless they've been there quite a long time I don't think they'll sell that much more than Leona

I think they'll outsell Leona, they have quite a bit of hype because they've been around for so long and did a secret set at Glastonbury this year. Their new stuff isn't very good though. They're #130 on iTunes now.

I am aware that music is subjective. I just feel this music is bland beyond compare which is an utter shame.

Although I would agree FUMF and I Am haven't given me that WOW feeling that singles should do (I do enjoy both a lot more now but never felt addicted to them), but I would wait until the full album is available to judge the whole thing. I Got You sounds incredible and based on the samplers some of the other material sounds like solid 5 star tracks to me.

I think with Leona getting the right singles out and promoting them correctly is key (a problem that has plagued her career since the latter half of the Spirit era). FUMF promo was good and (for the most part) well managed but the track did not seem to captivate the general public. I Am is a bit more solid and a more familiar Leona sound but it has not been promoted well at all so far.

Their last album sold over 70k first week but that was way back in 2004. I think they'll be able to do 30-40k given they have quite a bit of hype around them and have quite a solid/hardcore fanbase.

Album 64/96 on Amazon, so probably about top 40 combined.

Oo that's great! She was on BBC London radio at 5:30pm for a little promo so looks like that helped a bit. Should rise even more with her promotion on BBC Breakfast tomorrow! :cheer:

The Amazon pre-orders are looking at lot healthier than iTunes. But I guess she was always likely to sell more physicals than downloads.
So excited to hear this in full - pray to god this sells well, she really deserves success. I want some big performances coming!!!! Exposure needed.

Confirmation that she's on BBC Breakfast tomorrow morning:

Tomorrow on @bbcbreakfast we'll be joined by singing sensation @leonalewis & #formulaone driver @AussieGrit

Okay so I went to the album listening party today and met leona - she's so amazing in person :-)

The album as a whole is so strong and her best IMO..

'You knew me when' is fantastic.. But I wouldn't release it as a single. The lyrics are beautiful but it doesn't have that wow factor vocally.. It doesn't have that big vocal peak.. But it's really nice.

Thank you was seriously beautiful 😍

Glad you enjoyed it Mike - Can't wait to hear in full.
