Glassheart is my fave. I never saw the Echo hype - it's a good album, but everyone acts like its the best album of all time.

omg Tim. You have an album as flawless as 'Echo' and you want another hit & miss album like 'Glassheart'?! Something is seriously wrong with you! :o

I don't know you anymore tbh.

Jonathan, I've never seen so much wrong in 1 post, both Echo and Spirit were great but cannot touch the amazingness that is Glassheart. Given that she hasn't produced a perfect album yet (Spirit and Echo had several duds or complete bores and Glassheart had a few like Fingerprint and Fireflies) Glassheart is the closest to perfection she has had.

When she sang Come Alive at that Radio 1 festival the reaction was huge and so was the song! Had her management actually taken notice they realised they should release Come Alive as the first single with Glassheart as the 2nd single and leave Trouble as an album track. Those 2 tracks are exactly what I want from Leona. Big vocals with hypnotising beats and current production and that Fire On My feet song or whatever it is called sounds like it is exactly that.

People always act like Echo and Spirit are masterpieces, but they're not. Spirit is great, Echo was a stepdown but Glassheart *.*

No. You're both very, very wrong. :( 'Echo' IS a pop masterpiece. 'Glassheart' is the definition of "filler". Although I do whole heartedly agree with you when you say the campaign would have been completely different had she chosen certain songs over others. :(

'Spirit' is great for a debut album and basically "setting things up" but again, that's it. I adore all the albums in different ways. But the highs on 'Echo' were ridiculously high and the "lows" were excellent.

Anyway. As long as this album delivers In any Leona style way, I'll be happy :D

Besides Happy and I Got You, I really don't see any highs tho :kink:

Let me help you with that...

'Outta My Head', 'My Hands', 'Alive', 'Naked', 'Lost Then Found', 'Can't Breathe', 'Stop Crying...', 'Love Letter', 'Brave' etc... You catch my drift ;D

Half of those songs are quite 'meh'. Outta My Head is a definite highlight though.

I'm beginning to think you are just a troll

EDIT: This reminds me, I still need to purchase Glassheart oops :magic:

Those songs are NOT "meh", April! They're magnificent :drink: ('Naked' forever remains the best non-single!) I also believe that 'Can't Breathe' could have done wonders for her. It was so against the grain of a typical Leona song, so would have got attention, in a similar way to how 'Outta My Head' would have.

That campaign should have gone:

01. 'Outta My Head' >> X factor performance for this would have set it up incredibly nicely to have been a smash. <<

02. 'Can't Breathe' >> Final X Factor performance. Setting it up nicely for a Late Jan release. <<

03. 'Naked' >> A May release with a BGT performance! <<

04. 'Lost Then Found' >> Beg August release <<

05. 'Happy' or 'Alive'>> Late October/Early November release - last few sales for 'Echo' before moving onto album 3 <<

'Happy' is a good song, but it's very typical and Leona-by-numbers and wasn't really taking any necessary risks/the risks she needed. I adore 'I Got You' but perhaps, like 'Happy', it was too safe for a release. Such a gorgeous, underrated song though. (Although the messy release strategy f***ed the IGY campaign up! - Who releases the video 1 week after the single release?!)

  • 2 weeks later...
I really enjoy all of Echo; the cool breeze that kick starts I Can't Breathe is incredible.
Apparently album has been confirmed for the Summer. Hopefully that means she'll release 2 or 3 singles between now and then. Good plan if you ask me. If she releases a good post-album single in Autumn, it'll keep her album selling over Christmas.

We got info that it was scheduled for summer a few months ago and Leona said it will be out summer during an event she went to not long ago. So we'll likely get a single in Feb/March and a second one in June with the album following. Good choice as there's normally not much competition in the summer so hopefully she'll get a #1 album again. Plus I can see her promoting the 3rd and maybe 4th single on X-factor/Strictly etc in Q3/4 to keep the album selling. Really excited! :D

They've just updated her vevo banner/picture and that interview was from yesterday when Leona went to a pre-grammy party. :D

Hopefully we'll get the single premiere in the next few weeks!

Oops, me too!

Leona looked STUNNING last night at a pre-grammy party:

Leona's website has updated:

And they also unlocked the clip of "Fire Under My Feet" Leona posted on facebook on her personal youtube channel leonalewis (not her vevo account) so things look like they're moving along! :D

I can't wait to hear this album! :cheer:
