Since Rebecca Ferguson managed to open with 14,529 earlier this year with a covers album, I'd hope that Leona could at least outsell that.

Apart from the release date change of FUMF the campaign has been just fine.. Sure she should have been more out there regarding release week but she has already promo slots planned until December

Pre-ordered the album on HMV last night. I hope it comes before the release date. :dance:

Great to see the boost the album got from her appearance on BBC Breakfast. Currently #74/#152 on amazon too.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Duran Duran and Richard Hawly are also releasing on Friday and are both much higher than Leona in pre orders. Despite maybe chatting between 8 - 12 I think she'll have decent sales for her position.

As much as I want the album now, it would probably be best to push it back one more week. Even if the sales are good, a low peak is not going to do Leona any favours against the press and the onslaught of 'flop' articles. If she can scrape top 5 that would be fantastic, but I can see this lower half of the top 10 based on the amount of new releases.

There's just as much competition next week and the following weeks to come. She's releasing during the time album sales and the amount of album releases really starts to pick up. Hoping she'll be able to get a top 10 placing.

 

I mean the press didn't take much note of Christmas, With Love debuting at #25. #25-#13-#15-#28 was its run, but it still went gold. :) Hopefully some November/December promotion for the album will help take advantage of the higher sales and help the album sell.

You Know Me When is so good. It would benefit from a performance on Strictly Come Dancing or X Factor.

From the full songs we have, 'Another Love Song' is my favourite now with 'I Got You' close behind. I played the former on Plug.dj tonight and it got an overwhelmingly positive reaction and people were asking why it wasn't a single. I hope it becomes a single later in the era, it's definitely the stand-out from what we have in full so far.
