Thunder is currently in the 400's on US Itunes. I think it is time for Def Jam to let that one go now and push on with something else. I don't know whether Leona will be able to get more good promo after James Corden so they need to now show people other material from the album. It has strong instant songs, the general public just aren't hearing them.

I think James Corden be her last "Decent" promo slot in US, Doesn't she have no more promo planned for UK at all? I'm guessing she will do shows like Children In Need later in the year but them kinda shows have very little impact on the album sales.

We don't even know what James Corden will be, do we? It could just be a chat that won't do anything.

Probably will be just a chat to be honest, I'm guessing its not that Carpool thing because Leona tweeted she wants her fans to come and see her there, So am guessing it be interview or maybe just a performance of Thunder? Don't know I don't watch the show so I wouldn't know how it works.

Hard to know what's happening behind the scenes, but I think Leona needs to step in and push to have FUMF sent to Pop radio next week. The album's chart decline is already creating the impression of inferiority - even among fans - when it's anything but. It has just been mis-released. There is good incentive, I believe for it to recover from its poor start. Producer/Collaborator/Songwriter goodwill is only easy to attract when an artiste's management indicates proper structure, strategy and business practice. Very few people are willing to put in the best effort for something which, despite all good intention, will still be handled recklessly come release time. People have bills to pay, don't they? I AM simply has to recover, and I feel Leona ought to push for that more than anything. Not only because the album has potential, but if flops, blame - as is typical - will be pointed back to her having come up with much material. Then the question will remain of how to handle things in the future. There so much risk of another scenario in which her creativity is stifled in favor of commissions by her label...and it will be SyCo all over again. The label has you right where they want you, powerless and left to their whims.

This mess must simply be undone. Plain and simple!

Someone better start the I AM songs rate
The James Cordon show is on at 1230 am Monday thru Friday in the Usa.Most people in the Usa will be sleeping when this show is on.
Just remember people, the album has only been out 1 week.99 % of Usa people don't know she has new music out.Things will get better when she gets a radio top 40 hit.It has to start in the Usa first because Uk hit music stations such as radio 1 or Capital FM won't play her new music because of radio politics and the Syco mess.Once Leona gets a Usa top 40 hit the rest of the world will follow.

The carpool thing would've been great exposure because it impacts here as well as the US. It's a shame if its just an interview and not even a performance. :(

Why is her label so slow to send a song top pop/top 40 radio in the US?

Does it cost a lot of money to do that?

I don't understand why they wouldn't have sent Thunder to top 40 radio if it would have improved its chances.

Probably because it's not doing well enough on Hot AC.I mean the song got added 6 weeks ago and it's getting bipolar updates like -7 or +10.After 6 weeks it should be getting +50-+100 updates everyday. Most Hot AC stations are spinning it once a day and are playing it between 12 am and 5 am.After 6 weeks it should be getting spun 4 or more times a day.The reality is the song has stalled and will start getting more negative updates and fall off Radio stations playlists. Give Island records credit for not sending Thunder to top 40 radio. If it doesn't succeed on hot AC It Would HAVE Failed On Top 40 radio.

Leona posted this on Instagram,

Embarking on this album was an incredible land mark for me. Starting out independently without the backing of a major label was a hard and long road. I had to strip back so many layers and let go of a lot of things and get UNCOMFORTABLE!

I had to dig deep and really come out of myself, push myself and break boundaries. Being somewhat of an introvert, I found it highly challenging and emotionally draining at times but I always new that it was for a bigger purpose.

I cannot tell you how proud this album makes me, and how personally liberated and peaceful I feel. I still have moments when i get nervous or anxious but I always come back to that place of inner freedom because I have allowed my true voice to sing loud and clear.

It's not always about making a crater with a Big Bang, sometimes it's the small and subtle marks that begin to tip the scale and eventually weigh in our favour.

So thank you all for being a part of this with me, my buns 4 life, I love you guys and I will always be open and true with you. I hope you're having a beautiful Sunday and living your authentic life.

Only 4 buns left indeed.

This post will be rife with speculation, and I will renege beforehand any false theories I raise.

First, why hasn't the very simple thing of sending FUMF or Thunder to Top 40 happened? This is really intriguing to me, especially because radio airplay is the main reason people sign up with any majors. What's the holdback? If Leona cannot get an elaborate answer for this, then she may need to wise up...well, I'll just say take the reins of things. From the looks of things, she and Toby seem to hold publishing rights for I AM (if indeed they produced it independently all the way). Def Jam particularly may just be a distribution label at this point, with no comprehensive deal signed so far. In lieu of this, there expenses on I AM so far are practically zero. Leona receives no royalties until expenses on her travel and promo are recouped. I AM doesn't seem to have had any physical distribution in the US (except for Amazon), or did it? Anyone seen it in store?

An artist in this day and age is only valuable to record labels if they have a 360 deal. I could be wrong, but, as it is, she could be of low value to DJ to make them disinclined to risk too much with with I AM. This is why I say she and her management assert themselves more in terms of radio airplay. If DJ continues to shilly shally for peculiar reasons, turn to the escape clauses in the contract and run for the hills. At that point, they would purely be playing games.

So what would be the gameplan after that? Macklemore already set a template for release (physical distribution and radio) with their album. To keep it short, they partnered with an independent artist distribution label of Warner Bros Music (ADA), paid them to push their music on pop radio...and the rest as they say, is history. FUMF could be good for testing the waters...if it catches on...you move to IGU to keep the momentum...then drop YKMW...but all this waiting, someone may be up to their own fishy business. They could alternately push a different song in friendlier markets such as Germany or Japan and if it hits there, other there, other territories may take notice. It worked out for Am I wrong...for thinking la di da la di da. The point, putting aside my allegations for a moment, is that there are multiple options for I AM's success. But someone's gotta take charge :)

Wouldn't mind a repost on DS. People are obsessing over the situation so far instead of what could be done for a turnaround.

#40 in midweeks. Probably about #50 on Friday.

Fuccccccck.

I know people hate it when it's said, but after this era I can't see there being another album with Island.

Thunder +12 update today on Hot AC.

There is only one thing really annoying me this era and that is Def Jam and Pop radio. Lol

What the hell is going on? haha
